@@Argos-xb8ek As a parent, I can say definitively that yes, it would provide some solace. That being said, does it make it okay for his dad? Of course not. His father will always be heartbroken. However people die all the time and at least when he is sad he can reflect on the lives of the people his son saved with his sacrifice. I don't know... hearing how his friends describe him, and seeing his actions. He seems more grown up then most grown ups. He might come over as a kid with being playfull and goofy, but being a grown up is not in how you behave. I watched the episode. This is not prison, this is the psychology used in boot camp. The idea is that submission in the form of an emotional and mental break is somehow a breakthrough. There are no long-term positive results from this type of program unless the parents are put through something equally as intense. These kids don't have a chance with parents like that. The young man with autism had absolutely no business being there. In his very literal, matter-of-fact world that was equivalent to punishment for an action. The action was hitting his mom in the head. He did so because she hit him with a phone and she had told him that if anyone hits him, hit them back. He followed her directions exactly. As his mother, she should have known that he would follow her directions. That family needs crisis management assistance and possibly a behavioral analyst.

The skating community is one of the best communities out there. Very rarely do you see bad blood between skaters it definitely is a sport that brings everyone together and the chemistry is amazing. No one ever judges u for not being good and those that do get hated on because everyone knows that you have to start out somewhere. There definitely is a great bond in the sport snd I definitely agree that the rep we get isn’t right. People see me on a skateboard and they think I’m a thug and a junky and I have no life. Never judge a book by its cover and this video definitely proves that.

Our "cousins" in the ape family. It's so easy to see ourselves, what we see as human like emotions in their eyes reflecting back at us.

My heart goes out to this family and any family that has had to go through this most terrible of losses. May the love you shared give you the strength you need to carry on xx

Dad should be proud he raised such an amazing and selfless human being. Ignacios actions take an immense amount of courage. Rest easy homie.

Man, watching his pops break down at the end was hard to watch. He looked so proud of him, and you could tell he was such a gentle soul... I really hope they find comfort in this, Ignacio seemed like such a genuinely good person, and his parents did such an amazing job raising him

This guy IS the essence of skateboarding. It's fun to watch him balance on the line of make it or break it. Rest easy, brother.
