If the suspect really is severely mentally ill, why is he on the streets being a danger to himself and others?
Can’t hold them against their will, and in most states, mental hospitals were shut down. I don’t understand why that happened. The government officials don’t care, because they and their families are protected from this. I can understand why other countries hate America and want to inflict harm. Problem is innocent people get hurt. What a country we live in.
Because years ago, people banned together and thought that mentally ill people were being ill treated, and some of them were and some of the footage that leaked out of the home for the mentally ill really was painful to watch, but a group got together and basically forced Reagan to pass laws to let them live on their ownand we don’t have enough social workers to keep tabs on them and family members can’t keep up with them. The suspect has been a dangerous criminal known to authorities since 2013. If they are going to let known "mentally ill" people run loose, it's on them and the family should sue! This could have been prevented with sensible law enforcement policies.
The most expensive subway is lacking platform barrier. How can homeless get in the platform without paying? I stopped taking BART after experiencing homeless every time.

It happened to a good friend of mine who was sucker punched & was attacked, landing his right fist to my friends face. This brought my friend down hitting his head on the street asphalt. This crime occurred at the Marina Green close to the Tennis Court 2 yrs ago. Without provocation , this homeless black man around 6Ft Tall just came out of nowhere just attacked my friend. Mind you my Asian American friend is 70 + years old at 5'8feet & 150lbs. was no match against this criminal. The Police took him to the hospital as an emergency & was in the hospital for a months recovering from broken knees ( homeless guy stumped my friend's legs & knees after he fell down). The Police arrested the criminal & the SAn Francisco District Attorney let that criminal go after 2 weeks. That same District Attorney that was recalled or voted out in 2023.

People can still work while drawing SS retirement.. Many judges, probation officers usually retire from governments, and are allowed to work up to 6 months of a year which they take advantage.. I retired at age 53 and moved to Southeast Asia, but if I stayed in california, I would definitely work 170 time 6 months out of the year as a probation officer, and not because i need the money, but only because I liked my job, and I would use the money as my "Play Money" as one retirement worker told me many years before I retired, and he taught ESL (English as a Second language)...
