- Family, friends and co-workers of a woman who was killed at a San Francisco BART station remember her as being a kind, loving, and generous person.
Corazon Dandan, 74, of San Mateo County, was pushed into the path of an approaching train at the Powell Street station in San Francisco.
The suspect, Trevor Belmont, a 49-year-old homeless man who is also known as Hoak Taing, has been arrested, according to officials.

As a black person myself, it hurts and disappoints me very much hearing these stories of all of these attacks on asian people. They don't bother anyone. They usually stick to their own business- they usually just work and go home. These attacks seem to be growing in frequency and getting very out of hand.
It is scary how many Asians ,especially the elderly, are becoming easy target by certain ethnicities. I fear for my own safety😢

It sounds like it was a hate crime no matter who does it to push another to their death. It's truly heart breaking, she sounds like a wonderful woman.
I was a victim of a vicious sucker punch, and I am a black man in his middle years, 67 years of age. This occurred near the downtown Oakland Library at Lake Merritt. My heart goes out to this lady and her family.
Any person who's psychotic, on drugs, recently released from prison with no prospects must be watched. Next door to me in the same at San Pablo and University a man was murdered.
No media organization came to ask me about the murder although I was the only one home. Why not, you say? Corruption. Protecting the landlord, and defending his rights and entitlements as a "property" owner takes precedence. What else? The landlord from China, without the ability to speak English well enough for what he's doing, rents to people with felonies. Hence the true reason for the murder, aside from green obviously.
I say all of this because I need help but can't get it. Innocent people are injured and MURDERED because we do not pay careful attention to crazy people out for money and those who don't care.
I am so sorry this happened to you 💔 and your neighbour 💔.

These attacks are happening not only here in California, but also in many other big, metropolitan cities where what has happened is that the classist politicians that administrate government in many states have neglected those who are mentally ill and poor and in our society u can be sure that some daughter of a yuppie certainly will get proper care but for people who are poor and no one to support them, their mental conditions become worse to the point of being violently schizo-affective.

You don't know how violence America until you traveled to other countries. I traveled to Spain and Paris for three weeks and I did not witness any acts of violence during my trips. I did not witness anybody arguing with each other. Even though it was crowded in the metro stations in Spain and Paris, I didn't see anyone acting inappropriately. People in America act violently over very little things.
