    The big three need a big enough lawsuit against them for the cp4 that would change their attitude about screwing the customer, problem is politicians and judges are bought and paid for.

    • @AbsolutionArmament
      @AbsolutionArmament Рік тому +5

      Stellantis experienced that for the year and half they used the CP4. They had a lawsuit and went back to the CP3 along with a covered recall to convert the CP4s back to a CP3.
      EDIT: at least on their 6.7s.
      The half ton market with their eco diesels didn't get the same treatment.

    • @FZ6er
      @FZ6er Рік тому +1

      @@AbsolutionArmamentEcodiesel recall is happening but currently in "No Parts Available" status. Probably won't be released for another 6 to 12 months with how many 6.7's are still left to do.

    • @AbsolutionArmament
      @AbsolutionArmament Рік тому +2

      @@FZ6er The ecos are not a conversion but a coverage for replacement back to the same cp4 plus injectors and lines if it does fail. Which is why I said they aren't getting the same treatment.
      The reason being is the CP3s do not fit in the eco's valleys just like the 6.7PS. At least for the PS there is an aftermarket option now, DCR.

      Great question! We have the CP3 conversion for the Dmax trucks. The reason that the DCR is used on the Powerstrokes is because they couldn’t get the CP3 pumps to work in the valley of the 6.7’s.

    • @thoroughbreddiesel
      @thoroughbreddiesel  2 місяці тому

      Different platforms for all 3 of these pumps. CP4 failures are very real in both the Duramax and Powerstroke platforms. Generally, lack of fuel quality and low pressure component failure can lead to the CP4 failures. Both CP3 and DCR conversions are great options because both of those pumps have proven to be much more reliable and robust than the CP4.
