Had my 800 for 9 months---this machine goes deep ! My searches take place 90% on beaches so my lovely Deus had to go . Fishing hooks at 10 inches. Coin signals hit loud and clear at good depths and accurate read outs. Two silver rings with sounds to blow your ears off !! Awaiting the 15 inch coil now the reports are coming through. Glad you like the Equinox--- a truly great machine. Nice clear video , keep them coming.
Anytime i get a 13 flash its usually a bottle cap or pull tab. Nickels ring in at 12. This is for US stuff. Usually 16 17 18 is trash, but could be a ring. Also lift the coil on possible cans and it will pick it at a high coil height. Also on bottle caps u can put it in AM mode and back off slowly and it will give an iron tone at the edge of target in most cases
I found a massive pocket drop sixpence , 2 florins half penny coins on the tin can mix bag numbers. I always dig up tin cans now. Good to see you finding some parking money
Great video Kris , one trick I perfected with the Equinox 800 , to avoid bottle tops both rusty and clean is when it is an iffy 12-16 signal , flick over to Gold mode if still bouncing around same numbers I leave it but if it hits on a steady number dig it , took lots of trial and error on the laden beaches of HK , but it seemed to work great . I am back in the garden of England mid January if you fancy a detecting buddy .
Took my 800 out on the beach for the first time today. Found a nice silver coloured ring (costume). Still need to work out my best setting for Cleethorpes but looking like a good machine to me.
Cracking video as usual Kris. The equinox is such a usable and sensitive machine. I would highly recommend pressing the horseshoe button and hearing the iron (but turn the iron volume down to its lowest) as I found with mine you can really differentiate between a choppy signal that is a good target but deep, and iron/rubbish with a choppy signal that has a positive sound attached. Take out the iron sound and you're left with the positive only so you'll be digging more rubbish. Hope I explained that properly 🤯 looking forward to your next video. Good luck!
First and foremost Happy New year Kris... I have the Nox 800 but love watching you learn the machine and giving your honest opinion... all the best for 2019 mate🍻
Happy new year Kris... bring on them there fields, that's the one I've been waiting for, didn't like my nox out in the field at first, getting to grips with it now and love it.
Took my Nox 800 out to the beach for the first time NY eve and 3rd signal platinum ring well happy, after that though bottle top bill time must of had about 20 lol. Great video as always Kris keep up the good work and happy new year to you.
Agree with everything you said its a good all round detector for land and beach and gets great depth ,stem and arm could be better ( no match to the deus ) but i love it and until something comes along to blow it out the water il stick with it . saving for the 15inch coil this year to go even deeper
Cooorrrr! I get all excited at those high tone sounds!! Absolutely love the machine, although you can't really afford to not dig the targets, you sort of already know what they are so you're not left disappointed. It's a bonus if it's something good As with any machine it takes time to get used to, but once you learn what it's trying to tell you it is an absolute beast! Great video Kris, really need to get out & do some more of my own. All the best and a very Happy New year to you ... ...Cheers then!
There's a detector is the states that does a lot of beach hunting with the 800. Those 12's could be a bottle cap, US nickle or Gold Ring! Don't skip them. He had one of those bouncing drink can signals like you had and it was an I phone. You just never know.
Very good video Kris, thank you fine sir. I really do hope you get to test a Deus soon, your honesty and integrity would be valued on that machine. ATB MMMD
Very informative videos mate, I'm thinking about upgrading myself from AT PRO, NOX seems like a great move forward, cheers , also you , kinda , inspired me to start my own channel 😆 got couple of videos, we'll see how it goes, All the best bud
Great editing and review. Have really loved the nox so far, especially on the beach and in the water. In that environment it really shines compared to the At-pro.
great vid as usual ,made my mind up im getting one , ill try it as it is however if the stem is not suitable ill get a carbon fibre one , lucky enough to live near the solent, no permissions of my own so beach is handy, but i do a few rallys etc
Hi great video, I notice that in your video you don't get all the chattering from your Nox like i do. I detect the same type of beach in Brighton, maybe more stones. Am I doing something wrong? Can you offer any advice please?
Hi K, love your informative, helpful vids taking everyone with you on the learning curve! Well done. But man... I just wonder do all those bleeps, plops and squealy noises all get a bit irritating after a bit? I'm sure it is a fab machine, I wouldn't turn it down if I was given one, but blimey, it sounds like you are going through a supermarket checkout!
Great stuff, Kris! I have been saving a while now, and am not sure of which detector to get, I think I've narrowed down the Nox 800 or Anfibio Multi, just wondering which you think would be best (I do mostly ploughed field club hunts and the occasional beach hunt)
TheViperDetecting It’s difficult to say as I haven’t done my Nox field tests yet. I’ve done 50+ on the Anfibio though, and it’s pretty solid if you can handle the quirks of it. Deep mode is my favourite so far. The Nox’s beach mode, however is much stronger (but that’s not your main focus) Nox on pasture was brilliant. It won’t be long before I do my conclusion, so it maybe worth waiting a bit if you’re interested 😁
Loving the video. I've taken my nox down to the beach for the first time today and wish I would have seen this video before hand. Only had a couple of hours and like you found loads of small bits off aluminium and a grand total of 27p lol! Did you leave the recovery and iron bias as standard and only adjust the sensitivity?
@@Addictedtobleeps I don't own a nox yet, but people on my Facebook are saying you can hear the sound better and quicker. I know you have to use a wire for it, also know that thing cost around 250 bucks so worth a try. Let me know if you do get a chance to use it
I don’t want to hijack this comments section but I’d really like to discuss target ID numbers I’ve been testing a few coins I’ve yet to find with Neil. All I will say is don’t stop digging the old ring pulls and bits of lead that come in at 15. It’s half sovereign too. Also I’ve not had problems with 5p coins on field mode. It’s always an 11. Can you I test some hammered coins for me?
I Bought my Etrac from Joan Allen cpu got broken after few weeks iv send an email and they Replace my machine with brand new one . Best dealer in U.K. !!
Just looked u the price of one of these, and for that kind of money I would want it to tell me exactly waht it was, and whether or not it was worth digging for. I'm thinking of getting a a detector but this is not exactly entry level is it ! ?
Graham Walters Probably not entry, no. Sits in the intermediate bracket, really although it’s pretty simple to understand. Probably best to find something slightly cheaper before upgrading, as there’s no guarantee that’ll you’ll even enjoy the hobby. Good luck!
Beach detecting isn't boring at all. I've found tons of old and interesting stuff. Oldest coin dating back to 1886. Started off the season 1. Jan with a 18k ring with a nice diamond - worthed new as much as the Nox. It has its quirks, but all in all it's a great detector.

another great video all i do is beach with the 600 at the mo i found if you put the iron on you will get a iron grunt on the rubbish
A very interesting video and test! Best regards and a happy new year! 😁👍
happy new year kris.. cool video..Paul

I don't hunt beaches much. Items I recover are usually turned to rubbish from the salt water.
I have found 12 to 13 signal for bottle caps if you put the front of the coil in front of signal it normally. Grunts
Great Video, thanks for sharing !
Got my 800 in July and by September it had paid for koss headphones an that’s from an averages 5 hours a week

Great job, enjoyed that
Nice review kris the nox is awesome as you will soon discover. Some target.s you can pump the coil over them if the nox grunts walk away 👍GL&HH steve
nice review, we used to have a night club called equinox, never got lucky there though lol🤣

Do you use the WM 08 wireless audio module, I been hearing that you are missing out if you don't
