Was a fantastic show. I’ve been going to Primus and Tool shows since ‘94 and Primus and Maynard sound as good now live as they did then. Top shelf performances. It was my first time seeing APC and Puscifer. Well worth the 2 hr drive.
@@MrDakotalafountain Hells yeah. My 20 yr old son is a bass player and being a drummer/guitarist myself, this was no-brainer. We saw Les in Detroit at the Masonic Temple with The Fearless Flying Frog Brigade last year, and it was also amazing.
I was floored by security who wrongly thought someone in my aisle was recording. Fucking ruined the show cuz it happened constantly. Maynard is a turd for that.
Thanks for posting! Security chasing down cameras the whole fucking show was SO obtrusive and annoying. And watching security/staff not assisting disabled fans because they were told to prioritize cell phone usage was sickening Great show, but fuck Maynard for that
Sounds like a venue problem. The phone thing is pretty well known and if you respect the artist, it’s an easy decision. There’s a lot of art in museums that you’re not allowed to photograph. It’s not a foreign concept.
Bro. Every time you see a show with maynard he always tells people to put their phones away and I absolutely agree with it. It's annoying to see everyone recording like drones rather than experience a rock concert
The responsibility is 100/100, not 0/100 - the venue is just following the artists requests. But you’ve missed the point entirely… Cell phones = very minor distraction Security CONSTANTLY clamoring down our aisle, in front of us, behind us, yelling at people etc and interrupting our experience = much bigger distraction
You COMPLETELY missed the point. The security guards constantly interrupting the show experience was way, way more obtrusive and annoying It’s annoying to have a bunch of security/staff walking down the aisles who aren’t seated in that row, just to yell at someone else and annoying everyone else I didn’t take my phone out the whole show and didn’t mind that anyone else did - we never even noticed, UNTIL security pushed their way past us down the aisle to yell at them I’d rather people (who paid for their ticket btw) record whatever they want, fuck Maynard. That is MUCH less distracting etc than security trouncing around pushing past/bothering the fuck out of people who kept their phone in their pocket

That’s a lot of words to say “we never even noticed”. Sounds like you were paying attention to everything but the amazing performance on the stage.
