I mean they kinda are ultimately. You need to do it to get the lyre, which is needed to unlock pretty much.. everything else in Sumeru.

i started ranas quest while doing sumeru exploration for primos... i have so many regrets
I started the aranara quest right after I finished the archon quest (Friday) and I'm still not done :-:

the quest with rana and the cabbage looking things are a whole very long quest chain, which unlocks the parts of the map you cant. it also gives you several gadgets that help you get rid of the vines and also repair the dendro statue things and more. its really long though. to do the whole thing look in your inventory for the book that it gave you.

I only finished the archon quest, I haven’t touched the aranara quest or any other world quests yet
im still doing the chasm underground quests
I only got to finish two or three quests
He sacrifice his mentality for the sake of making his viewers happy…What a chad
Paikon, the quest that you do with the npc rana is the one that unlocks those 2 parts of the map. it's very long (4 parts) and tedious so good luck in doing it. during the quest you'll also be able to get the other dendroculi and to repair those broken element thingies. hope it helped :)
I just finished it after 3 days it was sooo long but sooo worth
@@simplyhere8846 i finished it like 2-3 hours before putting the comment. i thanked all the gods in existence that i leveled up traveler to 80 and put random decent artefacts on her. BUT THE THING IS SHE HAD DENDRO AND THE TALENTS WEREN'T LEVELED UP💀
Istg that quest was the Sakura Cleaning Ritual on steroids. I picked it up from Rana thinking it would be maybe the length of an average story quest. . . but it just kept on going, and going, and going. . .
I thought it would end after part one. I thought it would end after the first three Dream Nursery quests. I thought it would end after the festival. It. Would. Never. End.
. . . The ending was cool though.

Yes most games game play is around 15 hours too so basically they give us a new game every half a year / year
Yeah, a big issue in the game is that when it updates people just finish all the content immediately and then they have nothing to do until the next update
@Lu M oh yeah I know, I just didn’t really know how to word it. The new content isn’t designed to be done within 2 days, but people still do. People are complaining about how long the sumeru quests are, but that’s what they wanted, and then when they finish it they’ll be more complaining about how there’s nothing to do
I think there is a massive difference between content and unskippable walls of unvoiced dialogue that you cant even afk because of the pointless dialogue options, but maybe that's just me.
@raph ok but genshin is deliberately made to be addicting so at this point its hard to say who's fault it is

I finished the quests already, I’m just that type of person to complete everything but for me it took 2 days because of the length of the archon quest + the other one

That is some crazy dedication right there. The fact that the archon quest is around 7-8 hours. Also, it's so funny to see him struggling with some puzzles bc you need to do the Aranara quest line to open majority of the areas you need to fully explore 😅
the majority of the stuff locked like waypoints, broken totems and statue came from rana’s quest
We absolutely forgot the building where we need keys to get a chest which can be found in every region except sumeru

I saw that it takes 20 dendroculi to upgrade the statue just past lvl 1 and took a moment to grieve for my sanity, for it will surely die

Aranara questline took me 4 days, so a total playtime of about 7-8 hours. It's the biggest quest this game has ever done.
you dont have to go to a specific place for the teleporting things, your camera just has to face it
