    I've always preferred weld bonding for any area possible. But I've got to say to hear an OEM (especially a US based) say they are concerned about corrosion seems laughable. I just don't think we've seen a big improvement in any spot welded areas. We routinely see rust on very new cars here in the NE. What do you think?

    I don't think there has really been much improvement recently. Current GM vehicles seem to be the worst. But none of them seem corrosion proof. Then you have the euro cars that have this extra steps taken to help them resist corrosion longer. Also surprising to see company's sealing more seams on the undercarriage than ever but skipping the petroleum based rustproofing sprays ( seems like they would be cheaper easier and more effective?)

    it sounds like a good repair. But that smoke from the glue burning does not look to healthy to be floating around the shop or the poor tech breathing in that's stuff
