Thankyou very much Mam.
Hey, it is valuable, thanks!
Awesome thanks for letting me know!
Hi, Anika!! This was really helpful... just a quick suggestion you can do a video on how PMs can prioritize on product backlog and roadmap in details.
Noted - I kind of touched on this in the new roadmap video, but can do a dedicated video on this specifically as there are different prioritisation methods.
This was very helpful ❤
I wanted to know how long does a prd take to be done ?
🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation:
00:14 📝 A Product Requirement Document (PRD) is a way for product managers to document what a product should do and collaborate with others like designers and engineers.
01:08 📄 PRD templates are available online, but creating your own can be valuable to tailor it to your specific needs.
03:41 🎯 Defining clear objectives for your product initiative is crucial, and they should be clear, measurable, and inspiring goals.
06:07 🤔 When discussing problems, make sure to highlight both customer problems and internal business problems that the product can solve.
11:05 🧩 When writing product features, organize them in a table format with user stories and release phases, promoting collaboration and clarity in the development process.

I really enjoyed watching this, but I have a question, do you recommend any certificates online that helped you learn more about the tech side of requirements? From a top-down approach?
love the way she says "product"
haha thanks!
Hey Anika, thanks so much you content is amazing. there is a big gap between the PRD you are working on through the video and the one linked below or to your website
AH THANK YOU FOR LETTING ME KNOW! I just fixed it. Unfortunately the doc is editable, so you can make a copy. People are editing the original file. Check it out now - I will find a way to make this a digital download!
Anika, you should be able to edit the file to be read only. Good luck!
When I’ll be get a money as a product manager, I’ll be send to you my PRD for a check. 😏
Thanks, Really good content
Can you make a video on user stories and epics?
Thank you! Sure, I can do that. Any specific questions?
This is great. Thank you. Do you have a sample that is already filled?
You are welcome, unfortunately I don’t have a completed one… the ones I have would have confidential information but I could create a fake product. Thanks for the idea i will do it soon!
can engineering team also participate in writing PRD ? if yes , how can they contribute ?
Absolutely! They should provide their inputs 100%. I. think engineering can contribute by reviewing the requirements draft that a PM creates. They can seek clarification where a requirement is unclear, they can point out areas that will need technical research/discovery, they can also suggest requirements! You could also ask Engineering specific questions or areas for comment .
Although engineering is technical - each engineer is different and many have great sense for customer needs and user experience, combined with technical viewpoints. They should share all their thoughts freely, and as the PM you can take those into consideration.
It's really great explanation.... can I download this?..
You can find it on my website :) link is in the description
Hi Anika, thank you for this great video, please can you help me with how to create Product roadmap best practice, I'm really struggle with it. Thank you for your help
I have a roadmap video on my channel (or two). New roadmap video for 2024 coming soon :)
If you have specific questions or want to share your challenges, let me know and I'll try to address them in the next video
Thank you,
Hi. Thank you for the open source template. Just wondering, why have you left the Doc open for editing?
Ah, because if I restrict it to Comment or View only, it can’t be copied for some strange reason. Do you know why? I intend to make it a digital download soon thought Because random people keep editing it!
@@TheProductPup Yes, that's really a concern. Maybe if you have a wordpress site, you can upload the template over there. If not, hosting a PDF would be great.
