👋 I'm Anika! I ❤️ solving all kinds of problems with technology. I have a passion for building products, but I'm not a developer so I love no-code tools. I think for next video it will be super cool that you present the difference between project management vs product management 😮

Thanks for the template!
Amazing structure, really enjoy your videos.
Thank you, you're the best ❤
This is really good
Thanks for thorough tips! I wish I could have seen a filled example :)
Thanks so much Anika!!!. This was so so impactful. The slides are so much for me a beginner though😅😅😅(still getting a hang of this product thing). I'd probably tweak it to suit me like you suggested
You are so welcome, I’m glad it was helpful!!
helpful content!!
Thank you Anika.
I very appreciate such a great valuable practical content.
I could learn the structure of the Product Roadmap and how to communicate and obtain consensus on it.
Very happy to hear this was helpful, thanks for the comment :)
Dear Friends, I am understanding the work and thinking of a product manager of a product-making company as follows:
Step 1: Survey and detect market demand
Step 2: Measure and evaluate the volume of customers with demand
Step 3: Discuss with the Board of Directors about the opportunity
Step 4: Do R&D project on products
Step 5: Run product test to market
Step 6: Evaluate the product after the trial period
Step 7: Determine the actual demand and volume
Step 8: Meeting with the Board of Directors to decide to deploy or cancel the product
Step 9: If deployed, the product manager will convey the idea of the product down to the Agile team.
Step 10: Launch product into the market
Step 11: Follow the lifecycle of the product to evaluate the product's KPI and cash flow.
Question: Am I missing a step or misinterpreting the job of a product manager?. Thank you.
Very insightful and explained well with practical example. i could visualize better.
Thanks you so much for the Video, Helpful and insightful.
You're very welcome!
Um YES! please provide a prioritization video please.
Anika, your videos are very helpful Thanks
You're so welcome and im glad to hear!
This is a very useful video. For someone like who's a beginner and starting out in my product career, this is a really simple and yet effective way to build a product roadmap. Thank you so much for this. I found this video really helpful in building my first product roadmap.
Glad it was helpful!
Could you show how you estimate things like how to manage new project while dealing with tech debt, how long a project will take given different scenarios, how you communicate efficiently with your UX without making yourself look like you are telling them what to do but rather making it more collaborative and how long should the ideation phase ideally be?
Video suggestion:
1.)how to become product manager
2.) Product manager roles and responsibilities
Well structured video, Very usefull, Thank you for taking time for doing this. For future video suggetion it would be great if you can take a sample product/feature and build the road map along the video, I believe with example we remember things better, Thank you again for great video.
Making an updated 2024 product roadmap video and will take your suggestion of having more examples :)
Would a Business case document be prepared and validated by stakeholders to justify a preferred solution option brainstormed by team before it is prepared for this roadmap presentation or a Business Case isn’t required?
Seriously I am fallen in love with your lecturers. Being an enthusiastic guy may I know your country. #Loveyourlecturers
Hey! I am curious when the 2023 product roadmap will come this October. Hope to see it soon!
I’ll have 2024 out by the end of the October!! Its going to be a little different to this one but you should be able to use the 2 videos together. The new video will be more about how you make decisions for what goes in the roadmap :)
@@TheProductPup Hey! Any updates on when you are planning to make the video?
great i appreciate all explanation so kindly i need to reach the template but I can't so support m please
Thanks for the template but it's unusable for M365 users (the majority of the world). Can you export to PPTx and save the actual file to an accessible location?
I would suggest using the Google Doc to save to a docx which you can then open on M365 :)
Anyone know what tool they used for the roadmap shown at 4:25?
I think its custom development and not a commercially available tool they are using - if you find something like that plz do share :)
What is company name whose roadmap is this?
Documentation is not free, how do I get free documentation?

Never ever in my life did I want to do anything with business and “products”. I wanted to make video games. Unfortunately, I could not get the funding for the school I wanted to go to. So I chose a different path and now go to a school for a bachelors degree in IT that my job will pay for. My dream was always to be a level designer, but I almost feel it shifting because of the salary I see on product management. I looked up IT jobs on indeed just to get a feel for some salaries because I want to move to Beverly Hills one day. And Director of Product Management for $200k-$300k a year popped up. I know that probably sounds awful, but I’m not going through this struggle to just end up on the other side with a paper that says I struggled just to struggle again. I know getting a job like that would take years and I suppose I’m willing to wait. But as a kid I told myself that if I don’t win the lottery, I better land some crazy job so that I can live the life I always envisioned for myself.
I guess I’m commenting because I watched a few of your shorts and noticed that “Tech” was mentioned a few times. And I wanted to hear from your personal experience, if you know that is, if someone with an IT degree can go into this line of work. If so, I may all of a sudden be very interested in “products”.
Are you indian?
what if the company doesn't have their strategic priorities mapped out? Long story, it's a tech start up.
Just have a much shorter “plan”. Enough to experiment with things that you can be comfortable pivoting away from if needed. 2-3 months max probably.
Thanks for the clip anika👍🗞
