    I again 100% agree with everything in this video. A topic I’d like your perspective on is marketing and playing the board futures. There’s several guys in my area that honestly could care less on the local cash price or raising a crop in general. They make their money on paper shuffling contracts.

      Thank you very much - I appreciate the kind feedback.....
      I've noticed that too .. its like a fantasy football team where you don't actually have to have a football team... or a grain casino.... seems like it's gotten really bad anymore.... they keep saying no demand and killing the cbot - but our local ethonal plants are calling, looking for corn, begging, and paying close to a dollar over ..I've never seen a basis this high ... so if they are needing grain, I assume that is demand - which is again why I don't get that the cbot says there is no demand .... these hedge funds groups and usda - i often fell they are just working against us ..... there is a commodity index fund (I don't totally understand how it all works) but that fund has been getting better 2019 - although covid artificially killed it for a while ... I was talking to a farmer in NE iowa the other day - he noted the same thing - so people are catching onto it and wondering the same .. definitely a story worth investigating....

    The debt ceiling was raised 74 times from March 1962 to May 2011, debt ceiling crisis Always lead to the same outcome. I do not see some things the way you do, but if people don't talk nothing will ever get figured out. People are paying more for your products very interesting.

    • @Blackearthexcavationandtiling
      @Blackearthexcavationandtiling  Рік тому +2

      Actually people are paying less for agriculture commodities - if you figure value of the dollar ... the finished food product (what you put in your mouth) - now that cost has risen steadily...the percentage of what farmers get is in a continuous decline .... the national debt is a problem - essentially its bills we did not pay, and had no way of paying, the only way those bills were covered was by printing more money and when you print money you inflate the money supply, i.e - inflation .... you may not 'see things as I do' - not sure what you mean there - literally- everything in this video is exactly what happens or happend, admittingly I exaggerate it to the max imum sometimes, buts on point...

    Well, for a guy that believes we are in a continuous downward spiral for commodity prices, and net farm income,,, you certainly have and drive nice farm equipment. Even if leased, your payments gotta be thru the roof.😄
    Carry on!

    • @Blackearthexcavationandtiling
      @Blackearthexcavationandtiling  Рік тому

      Not believe - it's true ... farm economy is in a continuous decline, which has been explained multiple times on multiple videos and backed up by multiple data points .....I personally have no equipment (except some excavation equipment) - everything in the videos is my fathers, who owns his ground .. essentially I am a day operations, manager - run it as my own, but own nothing and barley make anything for myself - although admitting, I will inherit it all someday .... lease tractor vs owned - compare and 6,000 hr 8330 to leasing a new 8R280 ... I covered this previously in a video about equipment leasing...but for a recap ..the 8330 and the 8R280 are going to cost the same per year ..actually the payment for a lease might be a little less ... yes the 8330 you'll own in 5 to 7 years where as the lease is done and gone (or you have to renew it) .. with the new, you get full warranty... with used you cover it all ...so if you buy used and it needs tires, or other repairs - thats all out of pocket ontop of the payment ....and what do you own in 5 to 7 years ? Something that is wore out........ if you wanted to go older - say a 4955 - that tractor is going to cost you 60 grand .. so 25k a year for a loan payment on a 8330, 25k a year for a lease on a new 8R280 or 60 grand out of pocket (because its hard to finance old equipment) for a 4955 - there is no magic solution ....perhaps this is worth doing a video on ....

      @@Blackearthexcavationandtiling Good reply sir, thank you!
      I caution you, though, I am one who will argue your point about leasing being more cost effective than buying. If you are farming for the long haul, buying is always better than feeding a lease company. Now if you are a 3 year and gone farmer,,,yeah, lease everything, then dump it all when you leave. No auctioneer expense and time wasted showing equipment .

    • @Blackearthexcavationandtiling
      @Blackearthexcavationandtiling  Рік тому

      @tim gear I don't disagree whatsoever ... the problem is the cost of new equipment.. it's very hard to just write a check for or to even finance it .... so for smaller operations - if you want new - leasing is the only option .... with a lease you can purchase - lease it for 5 years, then buy it afterwards - essentially 10 year or maybe even 15 year financing ... it's an option to allow farmers to buy new ...
