I really enjoy your farm finance videos. Might be a simple video but could you do a break down on a new grain bin build and cost to pay off? Young farmer looking to build one, don't know if it can be justified. Anyways keep up the content.
Great video! Very informative as always, great insight. After 2yrs of drought I really hope corn price holds out through fall we could really use a boost
We are living in scary times. I have never seen such swings in prices of everything around us. A 403.4 acre farm just sold about 10 minutes from us last weekend for $6,500,000. It did have a nice old house, two nice barns, and a couple cheap trailers that were worth maybe 5,000 bucks a piece at most. One trailer was rented out. I just think the future in farming especially for young people looks very dark. Typically the springs here in southern Ohio are very wet until late may or to the first part of June. Then it starts to dry out and things get planted. We usually get most rains throughout the growing season when we need it. I hope our spring is not so wet this year, but so far it does not appear to be off to a good start. I think commodity prices may go back up some soon, but we shall see.
Good to hear from you - I always enjoy it .... yes we are, this country is in sooo much debt .. I wonder if we won't enter hyperinflation followed by a total collapse - probably not soon but in the future that could happen ... who knows though... hope your having a good spring - dry here
@@Blackearthexcavationandtiling I always enjoy hearing your opinion. Yes, I to often wonder about a total collapse of the system. Hope planting season goes well for you as well and you get rain when needed.
@@Blackearthexcavationandtiling lol 😂 your gonna get them with that I must say haha... Do that more often and youll have just as many subs as the my neighbor the Cole the cornstar.
@Kole Wiebensohn should I hid like Cole?... he got married and had a kid - odd how he doesn't put anything on video about that - maybe bc it was a shotgun wedding ...lol .... what county you in? ..my wife was from Tama county
@@Blackearthexcavationandtiling Tama county lol I'm up by gladbrook. Yeah you done even hear much local from them about the kid or his wife it's all hush hush, and the bin site is a mess.
@Kole Wiebensohn small world - my wife was from a little town called clutier... and last summer we bought a hagie that was owned by the Dysart coop... I'm getting the state mapped out pretty well .... you'd def be coles neighbor (garwin) - lol
I think we’re heading towards stagflation where we have an increase in inflation and rates but no increase in gdp. Have a positive jobs market report the fed has no choice but to raise rates to slow people down. Just my $.02
That's what my father says too ... which is essentially like being in an inflationary depression....... I think we're in stagflation now - but will return to more inflation, as the Fed begins reversing to QE
