Even after I discovered Canada was a great place, I'm still discovering reasons to love her. That's a coronary on a plate, it looks DELICIOUS! I will be trying that one!
I have been doing this recipe for almost the last 30 years now, the only difference is i add layers of onions and i use can potatoes instead of fresh potatoes.... And i'll doing it every xmass till i died......i love it but only once a year.....otherwise my health will suffer too much..... but it is so good..... make sure you use maple syrup flavor bacon...... the best.....

I a similar dish once, in a bigger baking dish, placing a ham steak on the bottom, a thin layer of sweet onion in the middle, & top covered with onion & straight strips of bacon across the top.... very good !
I can’t wait to try this, but I think I would have to pre cook my bacon for maybe 10 minutes because I can’t eat pink bacon. But this looks so amazing.
I was gonna say it's basically a bacon & cheddar tortilla (Spanish tortilla, not Mexican), but there are no eggs, so it's not a tortilla. Anyway, it looks really good! A slice of that with a salad and some white wine = bliss!
man.......I am not a potato person.....and I was more like watching a video during the entire time UNTIL the last moment....... when you cut a piece out.....I gulped down my salvia....!!!! It looks so nice!!!!!! Even to a person like me who does not like potato that much, I do want to try some pieces of this food!!!!
Awesome. I just made this with a little modification. I added thinly sliced chicken breast in between the cheese and potatoes. I will let you now how it turns out
mikonei It turned out well, just watch it if you go bigger on the size. with chicken, there is a lot of additional moisture for some reason. So it got a littl emessy, but... end result was still freaking awesome
