Also, a lot of people hate the heel Stone Cold phase but I rather enjoyed it because he gave the floor to a lot of mid-low card wrestlers the chance to try their chops on The mic and in the ring. There'll Never be another Austin!!!
Reasons Stone Cold is the undisputed GOAT: Austin is the most popular/over wrestler of all time and is in the top 5 of all time in every single category. Technical wrestlers like Bret Heart, Undertaker, Flair, loved matches with him, Heart himself saying his best ever match was WM13 with Austin. He was a world class talker probably only behind rock, he brought out true fan passion and attachment more than anyone in history, merchandise hese number 1 ever, impact hese top 3 ever and a huge reason WWF/E turned around Monday night war ratings. He was the leader of the greatest and most competitive wrestling era of all time! IT AINT EVEN CLOSE
The real tragedie of Austin's career was after wrestlemania 13 he was finally anointed as the future of the wwf and that summerslam match with Owen cut his career short and changed how he had to wrestle before the injury he was one of if not the best in ring profomers that's why the hit man was a driving froce in giving him his chance and wanting to have his first feud with when he returned that was one of my all time favorite rivalrys and late 96 until Austin was done was the best time to be a fan it will never be like that again he was magic

Every wrestler, from big card to small card had an air about them, skills and movesets in the ring, great titles. Even the Divas were in a league of their back then.
Also, a lot of people hate the heel Stone Cold phase but I rather enjoyed it because he gave the floor to a lot of mid-low card wrestlers the chance to try their chops on The mic and in the ring.
There'll Never be another Austin!!!
Wrestling ain’t wrestling without Jim Ross screaming “Stone Cold” over and over again at the top of his lungs.
2000 rock was the most over of all time. He carried the company to the highest it's ever been. Smackdown exists for one reason
@Thugofchoc do your research, Austin was way more over, there wouldn't even be smackdown without Austin
No one beats the look of defeat that crosses Vince McMahon face when that glass breaks
15:20
Even stone cold was laughing at HHH’s oversell 😂😂
The real tragedie of Austin's career was after wrestlemania 13 he was finally anointed as the future of the wwf and that summerslam match with Owen cut his career short and changed how he had to wrestle before the injury he was one of if not the best in ring profomers that's why the hit man was a driving froce in giving him his chance and wanting to have his first feud with when he returned that was one of my all time favorite rivalrys and late 96 until Austin was done was the best time to be a fan it will never be like that again he was magic
You gotta give credit to vince as he is the fuel for stone cold's fire during the attitude era. Giving stone cold the best story line against him and the rock and basically with everyone. 😅
Stone Cold has one of the most chilling, goosebump raising entrance of all time.
Second in my opinion is the bell ring or the Undertaker.
An entrance is honestly one of the most important things, and that glass smash is so iconic and imo probably the beat entrance ever. Without that hlass smash it wouldnt have been as good. And i honestly think that one small detail could have been the difference in steve being the GOAT and just someone alot of people liked but forgot about.
I love a lot of eras of wrestling, but having two superstars as over as Austin and The Rock at the same time was what made the Attitude era my #1
It was just a perfect storm... There was so many greats... HHH, Jericho, HBK, Undertaker, Kane.... it just all worked and was so entertaining.
@@douglarochelle2620 I so wish HBK hadn't been retired because of his back for most of the Attitude Era.
Even the “undercard” type guys… Edge & Christian, the Hardy’s, the Dudley Boys… not sure how I forgot about Kurt Angle in the first reply… During the WCW/WWF merge was some of the best stuff.
The great part Is Vince had two huge superstars and he knew how to make it work
He evolved the perfect way. And it was epic. I made sure I was home for monday night raw. And I know I was 13, but I simply fell in love
Austin in real life is a much nicer guy than he portrays on camera he does that for our pleasure he lost his dog today and he sent a heartfelt post.
They'll NEVER be another???Thankyou STONE COLD❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍👍
Vince was instrumental in the stone cold/vince fued and for that segment it was a 50/50 contribution, Vince selling made Austin's action even more engrossing
At 15:36 that was stone colds best stunner ever. The flow of it was perfect. Even had a little spin to it
"DTA - DONT NEVER TRUST NOBODY!" 😂🤣😂
I got goosebumps just listening to the pops. Watched this on TV back when I was 10 years old. Memorable times
Stone Cold! Stone Cold! Stone Cold!
This video is really really good man. Editing. Is like mah gahdmah gahd
I could just watch compilation of wrestler selling the stone cold stunner all day, very entertaining lol.
I think it is also his voice and looks.
He looks like a very strong old man even when he is young. So young men love him. His voice and way he speaks definitely played a role in his stardom
Stone Cold's popularity and you
add The Rock as well equals BOOM!!!!!!!!!
That time with him and Jericho with the "you've got a mic in your hand use it" is pure comedy gold.
The glass breaking still gives me chills & I'm already 47! 😂
I'm 40.
When that glass shatters, goosebumps fill my arms and chills go up and down my spine and my heart races and my eyes well up with excitement.
No one did better promos, and the Vince feud antics were hillarious.
The guy had the perfrct style, music, entrance, attitude, temper and toughness, in your face attitude and played the mic in a hardass and ranting fashion which made him resonate with any blue collar person or household.
I still regard him as my spirit animal, when I get drunk, I wear my steve austin persona on my sleeve and am ready to unleash it if I need to.
Middle of mount rushmore with Undertaker, Flair, Hart
AUSTIN is EASILY THE GOAT. NO ONE can touch him. Especially 98-99. AUSTIN is HIM.
Ha! Hogan 84-90,Flair 83-90,The Rock 98-02,Cena 05-12 stop smoking crack. Austin was on top for like 2yrs
@@sadetwizelve Rock 98-02? And this guy is talking about crack?? You an Embarrassment brother. AUSTIN PEAK and star power is Unmatched. Not Hogan Rock or ANYONE can F with him. McMahon said it himself hes the boggest star EVEER. Dont even respond you beyond DELUSIONAL
@@sadetwizelve Austin's time at the top was short because of injury in saying that even if it was only 2 years it only took Austin 2 years to out sell everyone you just listed and Austin is still out selling everyone today meanwhile Austin's what chant is still tormenting the current wrestlers today
@@sadetwizelveyou're out your fucking mind...nobody is touching 98-99 Austin he was basically 97-98 MJ...doesn't matter how long his reign was injuries are apart of the game...these other wrestlers are lucky he got hurt...or else he would of been raising hell for a long time...and would have one more championships...doesn't matter how long you do something what matters is what you do with the time you have...and he maximized his time on top 1000%
@@sadetwizelve i like how you named so many people and yet failed to mention bruno sammartino.
I have to wake up early but i said... almost 22min documentary about Stone cold ? Hell yeah!....
It was worth it
Stone Cold Steve Austin Is The Goat 🐐
Man this video is a great tribute to Steve Austin. Just reminds me why Steve became my favorite wrestler and til this day my favorite wrestler
I still can't believe Eric Bischoff said Steve Austin is Unmarketable.
And we see how that worked Bischoff & Co. The unemployment line at least temporarily.
Uttlerly wild how tjust the sound of the glass smashing before any theme or song plays gets the crowds immediately pumped 🤩
The Tupac of wrestling....
Facts
My all time favourite is “I don’t know how good your hearing is, but you got about 15,000 people calling you an asshole !!” 😂😂😂😂 7:20
He got me back into pro wrestling
When ever i hear glass break i look around for Stone Cold. The Rock was the best at selling the stunner.
It was vince... i dont whos idea all that was, but vince signed off on it. There's a ridiculous amount of humility needed to be ok with that. Vince owned the company, but he was 100% the best non-wrestling heel in history. Maybe even the best.
Vince is the company's greatest heel, HHH takes second.
@@TrollinThru There was a period where HHH was more hated than Vince.
Undertaker really played basketball. You can see it the way he caught that beer can. It's like he caught an alley oop.
Let’s face it. Stone Cold is to wrestling what PlayStation is to gaming
14:49 My absolute favourite, I love it when he stuns then & then it's like by magic they have an extra bounce in their step and fly backwards I love it. 😂😂😂
Austin is the GOAT
What's so great about Stone Cold is you don't see him as a character you see him as a regular. He was the voice of the average man. He didn't need to put on a costume he just came as he was then he paved the lane for others to simply be themselves. Great video 🖕🖕
