definitely want a vid on the 70 yoshioka fight . its crazy how different a manga can handle that type of encounter . Guts vs 100 men was maybe 4 chapters ? whereas Musahi vs 70 yoshioka is like 3 volumes
I loved how that fight devolved from Musashi being tactical (he did say it's gonna be 1 on 1 70 times instead of 70 on 1) into relying on pure instinct at the later stages of the encounter.
Great video. You should read Kokou no Hito (The Climber). It's one of the best manga I've read along with Vagabond, Berserk and Punpun. The protagonist is very well written. And the story has a very similar feel to Vagabond with philosophical themes and character development of the protagonist.
17:59, actually, Bruce Lee is based on the real Miyamoto Musashi quotes from the book of the Five Rings, the second rings, water. I read that one and Bruce says exactly what the book says.
When going from Munasai to matahachi, you have no transition which makes it very jarring. There isn’t a set-up earlier on where you say you’ll go from munasai to matahachi, so it hits out of the blue and that lack of transition hurts your argument. Another thing is when you say Matahachi is the normal dude while Musashi is the dude who seeks strength through anger but doesn’t understand true strength. So what? What is the significance of contrasting the two? My issue isn’t comparing the two; I just don’t know how that comparison adds to Matahachi or Musashi’s character because you didn’t explain how it develops those characters AND how it contributes to Musashi’s perfection.
"you should smile more" is actually so applicable to any 17 year old acting cool and serious
As a 17 year old that just read vagabond, that's some really good advice
or maybe a 17 year old who’s repressing his feelings

The greatest Protagonist in fiction.
i place him alongside guts, but yeah agreed

Guts is meat based. Kirito is soy based

I feel like as great as guts as is, takazo is the best protagonist in fiction. period.
In part because, barring historical embellishments and conflicting testimonies, he was _real._

Finally met someone who shares the same passion, also this manga was based on the novel Musashi by Eiji YOshikawa.

Amazing video! The Bleach OST in the background is gold

so its not Musashi who takes Bruce's words but Bruce who takes Musashi's words
@@-gj3nu It'd be hard for Musashi to take Bruce's words when he lived 200 years before Bruce was born
Keep making videos
But of course
Amazing video, I learned alot from this video and inspire to be better cause of it.
If you’re interested in the philosophy of vagabond, read the tao te Ching or just do some research on Taoism
What about Zen Buddhism?
