this crochet frog kit sucks :( so I made my own pattern!

Apologies if my pattern makes literally zero sense lol. I've only ever read crochet patterns, never made one. The only patterns I can draft with any kind of competency are sewing patterns lol
I'd like to give the pattern from this kit another real shot in the future just to see what kind of strange abomination it yields, but currently I have given myself a very stupid, yet surprisingly traumatizing injury (I say that with full sincerity btw as someone with PTSD), and my left index finger (my yarn tension finger when I crochet) is out of commission.
Won't say too much now cuz I kinda wanna make a full video talking about it and how it happened, but I sewed through my finger with a sewing machine.
Yeah... Fuckin Ouch lol
Also kind of horrifying. Like, low-key a nightmare of mine, but not something I ever thought I'd actually do. Like one of those intrusive thoughts you wince and shake your head at, but ultimately brush off. (Now it's a very vivid memory I get to wince and shake my head at lol) (bet you can imagine the kind of fun my mentally ill brain is having with that 😀💥🔨)
Needle-ss (heehee) to say, a little freaked out by sewing machines now.
Also this video was supposed to be up in like late Sept - early Oct, but unrelated to my finger well before it ever happened I was depressed and procrastinating bc I got my hopes up about a potential house that ended up completely falling through again.
