Bob Chandler is the father of Monster Truck. He invented the Monster Truck.Still today no one can duplicate his legend! The first time I seen him was in the early 1980`s at the Louisiana Superdome!

Those aluminum wheels may not have been very durable in car crushing, but damn they sure did look great on Bigfoot #1!

@@redneck400m3 they got that engine out of a boat. It was really hard to come across aluminum big block and after they blew the motor several times they would have to send it to a welding shop to put it back together they did a show I'm putting the original engine back into the number one truck and you can see all the damage that was done throughout the years it's all blueprinted and documented it's amazing you got to check out that video If you haven't seen it already look up number one Bigfoot original engine rebuild it's a four-part episode

I'm 39 now, and when I was a kid, BigFoot was the one of the coolest trucks EVER! It was definitely a household name amongst us kids! People who had never even been to a monster-truck show, or even had any interest in them, had at least known about BigFoot!

I can remember I was at a Indiana 4x4 jamboree in 84-85 and Bob ran the bog with Foot. As the truck came to a stop about mid way through the pit he just kept it hammered and as water and steam poured out of the front of Foot, Ron Bachmann stood there on the side line pointing at the engine , he kept pointing and pointing and Bob would look over at him and was like, I’m gonna run it til it blows Ron! It never did blow, but that has been stuck in my mind my whole life, I’ll never forget it. Ron was a good man. RIP Ron.

What’s so amazing is that most of these trucks not only still extort but still run and drive and they take them to shows. They pass through my town whenever they’re headed any place north of St. Louis. Their driver stops at this tiny ancient gas station in my town to get snacks and stuff for the road and I’ve talked to him several times recently. Those guys on that crew are all the best of the best.

I know the monster trucks today are 100 times faster and can jump higher and do back flips, but they took a lot of the meaning of monster truck out, like mud bogging and real car crushing. Now they have dirt ramps on both sides of the cars. So it makes it so much easier to go across. I can remember when some of the trucks had a hard time climbing a mountain of cars and only the drivers that had no fear and plenty of power hit the cars hard and smashed them. Big Foot started it all and is still the King.

They were cool to look at, but much like the that 10 foot tire Big Foot, they had to put 3 and 3 together. Bigger is not always better. Real equals real heavy. The smaller one tore through that mud like a child through a mud puddle where as 10 foot struggled aaaaall the way through and then could not crawl out. The worse they made the course, the lighter and more powerful the trucks had to become. Only a cartoon can make it through the nightmare bogs of today... And even some of them get stuck. Plus over all it has to be cheaper to use a tissue top when it comes to flipping them....

Fords best year of trucks. #7 Bigfoot was the best one.

Brody I don’t know... 2, 3, 4, 6, and 7 looked pretty much identical but my personal favorite was 4 because it could keep up with the new tube chassis trucks even though it was designed with old technology. And Bigfoot 7’s story doesn’t really have a happy ending....

Seems that the 66's work better in the mud than the 10 ft. tires. Probably due to the v tread pattern

Two-story tires, and get stuck in two inchs of mud. Love the truck though
