I love the fact that the lead guitarist on HAWAII Five O was half-Cherokee (Nokie Edwards was born in Lahoma, Oklahoma and his mom was Cherokee). That Cherokee sure could play "surf guitar"

Of course, their performance was superb. But this video reveals the limitation of the mixing/recording technology back then. The bass drum beats are clearly over-saturated.

ジェリー氏も80年代まではノーキー氏に比べて独自のプレイが目立たなかったけど、やはり90年代以降に一気に花が咲いた感じだなぁ。
来日回数が多かったのもジェリーさんだし、もう一度生であのプレイを聴きたかった…泣

立ち位置ですねぇ～ジェリーがノーキーに先輩としてやった事に、敬意の気持ちで真ん中にノーキーにしたのではないかと私は思いました。
ジェリー時代にノーキーがゲストで加わった時があり、その時もジェリーはノーキーが後から出てきた時、歓迎のパフォーマンスでした。
