  • When a close family member asked me if I could do anything about the dirt & moss on their car, not to mention the paintwork that felt like sandpaper, they were surprised at how excited I was about the opportunity!
Well despite the car being a very small Peugeot 108, it turned out to be one of the biggest cleaning jobs I've ever had on the channel!! Certainly the biggest job I've had that didn't require a machine polisher!!
A total of 12 hours was spent on this car (a lot of which was down to time added for filming!) and cramming it into one video wouldn't do it justice - So I have spread it over a number of episodes - Make sure you SUBSCRIBE and watch them all - and don't forget to SHARE them too!!!

Some great tips in this one Mark. Even I picked up a few. Proves that no matter how long you've been doing this there's always something you can pick up from others👌....onto the next one

Always something to learn, definitely can't disagree with that, I'm never done picking up new tips - some work, some don't!
I'm working on the last 2 parts of this so hopefully they'll be up very soon 🤞🏼

I'm loving this format of breaking down a long video into manageable chunks. As someone else said below, some just take a little too long talking. It doesn't stop me watching others, itncan just be a little 😴. Re the AD decon shampoo, i used it for the first time last weekend, smells of bananas and it foamed up way more than i expected. Oh and triple somersault was indeed just showing off 😂. Looking forward to the next episode. All the best Mark. 👍

I definitely don't want to make people sleep 🤣
And a bit of showing off is never a bad thing, is it🤔🤔🤣🤣🤣
Thank you Lee, same to you 👍🏼

Impressive choice of chemicals there Mark, a professional approach rather than throwing 5 or 6 chemicals layered on top of each other to make it “look” good where 1 or 2 are perfectly fine!, great tip of mentioning the dwell time, something you see a lot of people hammering straight in , honestly a very educational video , can’t wait for the next one, I’m hoping the music you selected won’t be a recurring track 😬🫣

Thank you Graeme - you know me, not one to use products for the sake of it and get myself some social media attention! If a product works, why layer more on top of it... And if it doesn't work, why use it in the first place and layer more on top of it 🤷🏻‍♂️🤣
I try to vary the music nowadays so I'll make sure I don't offend your senses with these tracks again 🙂👍🏼🤣

Thank you Dave - I feel much happier doing it this way as I'm not trying to compress all that footage, which is sometimes 8-10 hours worth!, into 10-15 minutes!
This gives me so much more freedom with the editing to make the content I want to make 🙂👍🏼

Great video Mark 👏👏. One of these days you will drop that mitt. But karma got you with what brushes did you say🤣🤣.
Seriously though I've found doing the door shuts easier with a microfibre cloth in the shampoo bucket at the end so I don't spray the seats with water, but each to their own. Can't wait till the next one 👍👍

      Thank you Paul!
I normally just do them with a cloth/mitt myself but these ones needed a little extra!!
And yes, I will definitely drop it eventually 🤣

Hello Mark, with just the wash done it looks better than before, the moss on the boot door was a bit dirty, the next video sounds like sandpaper, the paintwork needs some work lol.

This is a great series Mark ,I especially like the fact that you’re using products you really rate and not been sent to review ,Articulate definitely stands out for me at the minute, looking forward to the next instalment as always keep er lit big man 👏👏👏

      Thank you Jim 😎👍🏼
Sometimes I'm put off making 'review' videos because a lot of us are sent the same products at the same time and most others just seem to love everything and never have anything negative to say (or even remotely critical!). I'd rather just be brutally honest!
Articulate is a fantastic product, never lets me down 👌🏼

I had a white Fiesta to detail recently that was covered in green moss and I used the same process as you just followed the only difference was the chemicals we all have our own favorites. I was wondering how you would rate Autobrite Decon against GT Decon. I think the Autobrite products are very good when I used them extensively but now I have one or two that I use in my current regime.

    • @SparkleanAutos
      @SparkleanAutos  11 місяців тому +1

To be perfectly honest John, apart from the name I don't find them to be comparable products - the GT one is an extremely versatile and very effective product that can be used from everything to wheel cleaning, engine bays and as a snow foam... The Autobrite one, from my experience, is more of a specialised tool for unclogging/cleansing paintwork. Well that's how I tend to use them anyway - popular brands will always have their own dedicated supporters but as a firm neutral, I like to find the best uses for every product!
I haven't even been using Autobrite products for a year yet but they are definitely starting to take up a lot of my shelving space in the garage!! 👍🏼

I prefer watching your videos at an average of 10 mins compared to others who drag them out for far to long with unnecessary drivel. You get straight to the point and show us what we want to see and need to hear on the review. Im sure others will agree. So thanks again.

That really means a lot Peter so thank you 🙌🏼
When I recorded this one there was just so much I wanted to show but a single video would've been 40-45 mins long! I would struggle to watch that so I can't expect anyone else to! Best to break it down 😆
Thanks again, I really do appreciate your kind words 👍🏼👍🏼

@@SparkleanAutos your very welcome. Just wondering if you have ever heard of or tried products from a company called chrome northwest. They focus on the haulage industry and cleaning lorries but i have tried them and they work great for cars as they have all the shampoo and glass cleaners, snowfoams and quick detailers etc. The are very reasonably priced. I buy mine from a company in Lisburn as chrome Northwest themselves are based in England and wont Post here To Ni.

    What? No BH products?
Right, well before i unsubscribe 😂, do you think decon and wheel shampoos are basically the same? ie, super powerful with added sles?
Looking forward to the rest of the series!

    • @SparkleanAutos
      @SparkleanAutos  11 місяців тому +1

Haha there will be a BH product in the series for those suffering withdrawal symptoms 🤣
To be honest, I try not to overthink, or overanalyze(!), products too much - I like using the Decon shampoo for what it does, and I like using wheel shampoos for what they do - I'm sure they share a lot of base ingredients but I don't tend to delve too deeply into the chemistry, I just like using products 🤣👍🏼
Glad you're enjoying it and I hope many others will too 👍🏼🙌🏼
