@@Markkxd i have a squiddy-b. It flips very well, but it being light can br a drawback, seeing as you can easily fling it out of your hands by using too much force. It also has handle tap due to the nature of pvc material, and it has handle play. But i still recommend it, its not a turn off.

The amount of play is definitely not an Indication of the quality of the knife. I know people who own clones with no handle play, but it feels like trash and the QC is trash. However the aa has a ton of play, and is one of the most well built knives, amazing QC and best flipping on the market. So if you are judging a knifes quality by its play, you are judging a knife wrong
Erdrin Rex I Know what you mean, but I feel like any balisong can have 0 play The question is how smooth does it run after that? My ti bas has almost no play but runs incredibly smooth where as a ccc could have no play but very stiff handles that are difficult to flip.
Nice dude I got a pvc squiddy. It’s light af and a super smooth flipper believe it or not for solely a plastic flipper. I just got it for public use not to freak people out (like past trainers I had)
when you were talking about the knife play you said that the Triton was better even though you just unboxed it and the other one you used it for a while.
The blade is not heat treated which is one of the reasons why he can make it so cheap and the aluminum handles are anodized and bead blasted(on the newer ones he didn’t used to so they were slippery af)
Would that little indent on the blade on the bottom right below the edge. wouldn’t that pinch your finger, if I’m getting one I really don’t want one like my last balisong that pinches a crap ton
Is it worth upgrading my barfly to a squid triton if I'm a kid and the best tricks I can are a helix and behind 8 ball? Or should I just stick with what I got?
morelli tech again, time and money. Quit saying shit about Lucas and his company when you don’t even mention BRS, the greediest company of the Balisong Industry. Just look at their quality now compared to before.
forgot to respond, thanks for the answer. Man why does everything have to be made out of copper Does anyone know a high quality balisong with plastic/not-copper washers?
no prob... I did blue loctite, but red would be great - red is "permanent". i just placed it on a table with the pin sticking up, and then i actually used a water bottle - Ideally something hard and plastic that wont scratch - and pushed down with my weight on the bottle on the pin and it slid back in. this was after putting a bunch of loctite around the pin and pin area. you could also maybe use superglue or something but you might have troubles with mess.
Yes, its the way that its built. That why it has that handle gap. Having a decent amount of handle gap is good for durability as it allows the handles to not touch each which is bad for a balisong.
@x xCherryBlossum I'm really not surprised, it's $110 on their website (currently sold out). I'm applying for a job currently, but in the meantime, my mom won't buy me one either haha.
do you ever consider doing tutorials for curved handle balisongs? I know they're not ideal for most tricks but it'd be nice to learn and practice tricks you can do on them other than zen/y2k rollovers and backhand twirls
IV Kebo VI what? The difference between the 100 and 20 dollars is quality. Any 20$ balisong is crap. This is for sure worth it if you’re into flipping. Not everyone buys trainers just to practice and start off. A lot of people in the community flip trainers and live blades
Read my post above to prove your point. Material cost for the squid without bulk pricing basically over the counter, retail pricing, the blade cost $2, handle $4.21, and hardware is $1.9 This products machining is 101, entry level machining, low cost. This should be priced at $40 but someone is greedy with the $130 price tag. I bought one and took it to the shop and all my employees laughed when I told them how much it cost for me to purchase.
Mr. Regardless Based on materials and manufacturer process, this could be a $40 product. It's still a good flipper, it's just that price point is far to greedy. I know because I live in the same area as where the squid is made, and I specialise is business manufacturing. Just a shallow example, without even purchasing wholesale, or bulk I could get 1inch x 12 ft of stainless steel flat stock for about $22 USD. 1/4 inch x 1 ft square 6061 aluminum for $4.21 USD. phosphorus bronze washers for $0.19 USD. So per unit each blades would be about $2.00, handle material $4.21, hardware $1.90. total material cost could be no more than $10.00. labor is another factor but it would not reflect a $130 product value. Squid, stop being greedy. Imagine how cheap it would cost if you purchased in wholesale/bulk pricing. And the manufacturing of the squid is machinist 101 level. It's definitely overpriced, but since I have disposable income, I did purchase one.
Go ahead and use that same formula you will find that even the most costly and reputable knives are way cheaper then they charge for example the $267 Benchmade 51 should be about $60 after materials and manufacturing cost so why would the squid trainer be unrealistic?
Squid: so, the cost of the bali's materials is about 40$, plus assembly, labour by hand tuning each and everyone of the balis, some profit so we can 1. Pay our employees 2. Fund ourselves more comfortably..... $110! A competitive price for something as good or more than a $200 benchmade. That should be fair Morelli tech: fuck you
Just ordered a squiddy from his site and they were sold out the next day. Can’t wait to get it.

Carlos R that adds to my point as well, it does not flip good, bit it has 0 play, the as flips amazing and has tons of play
I mean, generally having a lot of play isn't good. That's why people use it as a general quality check.
@@TheEpicPancake what about the arc angel. It has a shit ton of play and considered to be one of the best knives

Yes, its the way that its built. That why it has that handle gap. Having a decent amount of handle gap is good for durability as it allows the handles to not touch each which is bad for a balisong.
