Hey Mike, first of all very detailed and great review. Kudos. Coming to the part where you speak about heart rate monitoring, is the averaging of the slope and missing spikes happening only during and post work outs or in general as well. I want to buy a watch for my dad (64 yo) to be able to keep a track of his HEART RATE LEVELS, BLOOD PRESSURE, STRESS AND SLEEP. Would you be able to clarify if the heart rate monitoring would work better in non work out situation such as my dad's? If it's a problem with samsung which other fitness band/watch would you be able to suggest for the same reason? Thanks. Any help is appreciated 🙏 ❤ 🙂
I went with the Fit 2 and I'm happy I did. I've had it for about 2 weeks now and so far so good. I'm not a super workout warrior type, so the fact that it isn't as accurate as some may want doesn't bother me at all. I'm ok with an "in the ball park" type of thing. I feel it's done a fairly accurate job with tracking when using my rowing machine and giving me an idea of my heartrate. If this was $100 I would feel it was a bit lacking, but for $60 I'm more than pleased, especially since they offer more watch faces than the previous model. I do find it a little annoying that they have a few presentations that only have 1 or 2 colors rather than multiple, or that you can't customize certain faces to include 1 thing over another, but oh well. It's not the biggest deal and I did settle on one that does what I need. I know a lot of people do like the Mi Band 5, but I guess I just like the fact that this is Samsung.
@Ajas Sharafudeen it does have an alarm. I'm not sure if it could wake you from a really deep sleep, but it goes off at the same time as my phone and that gets me out of bed in the morning.
Just got mine, love it, perfect for my needs and stylish too, love that its another galaxy wearable, im a big samsung lover so finding a neat little fitness tracker samsung branded means a lot to me, especially for the price!
You make a really high quality content.... Man I hope you get into the big league of subscribers real soon...Thanks for such a great review although i wished u would have made comparisons of step trackings and how accurate it since it was the thing i wished it had in comparison video of Mi5 and Fit 2. Anywasy great content overall. Cheers!!
Thank You for this great tutorial/review...I just received this Galaxy fit 2 smart watch yesterday... It is just what I'm looking for, including the price point...
I have had it for 2 weeks now. I like it as a replacement tor my fitbit charge 3. Hopefully it will be more durable than Fitbit which died on me about every 18 months. The charge 3 only lasted 13 months so I decided to look elsewhere. For people moving from charge to this you won't like the strap, I hate it and don't think it can be changed so don't look for after market band sellers. Also the face sits up high off your wrist so it looks like a fitness device vs a watch. So it's not sleek and pretty like the fitbit charge devices .. having said that it works well wand after 8 days I still have 45% battery life. I wear it 24 hours a day. Also the messaging between this device and my samsung note 10+ is awesome! It was sporadic on the charge but not on this and my phone can be in the living room and I can be in my bedroom and still get my notifications which is nice. Home button on the bottom is not sensitive enough but I can cover the device with my palm to wake it up. Swipe right works faster than swipe left don't know why lol. Bit overall for the price it gets the job done. I may get a more expensive device later but this will do for now
bought one on black friday for 20 € (24 $) super cheap for a smart band like that! also i prefer samsung health than the xiaomi app so it is amazing for me
I have the fit one and it's been working pretty well for me. I would appreciate the bigger screen and the better battery life. I had one of the original Gear Fit models until it finally quit working. One of the two disappointments I had with the Fitbit One was that the range of the Bluetooth connection was substantially shorter than the Gear Fit was and the timing of the alert that would let me know when I lost the Bluetooth connection on the fit one is substantially delayed. I am wondering if anybody knows if those features were improved or not.
Can i connect a Bluetooth headset to the watch and use the integrated music player without holding the phone with me? I want to use it for running and don't want to care the phone with me. Thanks in advance
Great review man, thanks for sharing. The side-by-side comparison with a quality HR-monitor was very useful. If you could do something similar with the sleep tracking that would be awesome.
The screen is stunning but a few times I noticed it didn't track my naps or regular sleep properly. Also the Fitbit Inspire 2 has an amazing battery. There are some syncing issues as well where I tried a reset and the problems still remained. In addition it overcounts steps. I usually log 15,000 steps at work on a Saturday using my Samsung Galaxy watch. I wore the fitbit inspire 2 and the galaxyfit2. The galaxy fit 2 overcounted by about 7,000 steps. That's not a small margin. The Inspire 2 was about 16,000 which is in the ballpark. Best of luck to everyone.
I had a Garmin Vivosmart when they first came out a few years back, this reminds me of that, especially the way the unit fits into the strap. I liked how small it was and it just looked like a wrist band when the display was off. However I lost that watch when it come off my wrist and I didn’t notice (it was very light). I ordered this from Amazon at a very competitive price, cheaper than what it cost to fill my car! I don’t need all the bells and whistles that some sports watches have, so this should do nicely.
That's a nice intro video. Based on your feedback I purchased a copy of it. But one issue I have noticed is the touch screen is not glued to the frame properly and pressing hard at one edge, makes the opposite edge pop-up, even appears that it can be ripped-off using nails... Have you faced the same problem?

Hi Mike, great content. Really battling between the Inspire 2 and Fit 2 for my first fitness tracker. Don't care much for the fancy app or smartwatch type features. Any thoughts between the two?
Question: Does anyone have a Fit 2 connected with a non-Samsung device? Does the calendar notifications work (if not the device's one, then the Google calendar app)?
Guys.. you have to consider that the watch reads your heartrate at your wrist and the wearable hr reader that he uses is placed near his heart..Sooo.. Put that into consideration when choosing budget smartwatchs
great work on the in depth reviews! Wanted to ask if you know if it has storage for music so you can leave your phone behind? They don't have any storage info on samsung's site
So bro if you were to pick a SmartWatch which one would you considering that both the watches would come already paired and you would have to use them without using any phone: Apple Watch 6 or galaxy watch 3? In short, which is the better SmartWatch if we do not take compatibility into account?
Oh!!! It does have a replaceable strap. I thought it didn't and need to swap between extra big and standard. I wear w extra big above elbow so I can be bare below elbow at work.
The only major issue I have with it is that it doesn't show calories burned on the watch. Yes, you can go into the app and see, but who wants to do that? I feel like that is a no-brainer on a fitness tracker; hr/steps/calories burned should be standard on display. Overall i do love it tho!
I just bought it for boxing because my galaxy active is horrible with boxing gloves on. I'M ALWAYS pressing the button and accidentally stopping my workout. So no buttons is my go to. I also believe it can actually track a boxing workout unlike the active 2.
Hey mike I wanted to buy this watch, but I had one question, I was concerned about emoji whether this watch shows emoji in notification like in whatsapp or text.
When you compare watches and or heart rate straps. Are you wearing them on the same rist or opposite wrists? Wondering if the position affected what the heart rate monitor is reading. 🤔

Hi Mike! Great content! So... what do you think is the best smart watch in terms of fitness? I do lots of hiit, swimming and running, so I really need it to be as accurate as possible.
You can set the alarm in the app, Galaxy Wearables, and it will be synced automatically to Fit 2, of course, or you could set an timer right on the Fit 2 as well.
I have a Galaxy s20 FE and deciding what watch to get was harder than I thought it would be. I’m looking to spend up to $150 maybe $180 on one that is more fitness with steps, heartbeat, sleep, things like that. Anyone have any recommendations?
The Galaxy Watch Active2 is perfect for this range. It goes for around $180 on Amazon and is basically the Galaxy Watch3 but slimmer. Totally get that, and it works really well with Samsung phones. I have one myself.
I want to ask a quastion to you. The exercise mode and the music controller can be available at the same time? For example, can we replace the music while running or working exercises modes?
I wish they would have just made a Fit 3 Pro to replace the Fit 2 Pro. I like the curved screen. Only thing I don't like about the Fit 2 Pro is that the straps come off really easily.
Can you adjust the timer, stopwatch & alarm from the watch or do you have to do it from the app on your phone? This would be a major deal breaker, I'm ditching my Fitbit Charge 2 because of this.
You can use the stopwatch and timer from the watch by adding the widget from the app. I dont see an alarm setting on the watch. Looks like you need the app for that.
May Galaxy fit 2 be connected with Polar H10, or just display health metrics that are being recorded by smartphone while training: heart rate, cadence, training time, pace?
Iam considering about buing galaxy watch active 2. Is it still worth? I mean I really want to track time to time some activity and also want more sport looking watch so? I really don't think that galaxy watch 3 would suit my style we'll so you have any sugesstions? Or should I go witch active 2 ?
@Haqqi Abdillah well I bought it yesterday and I can say that it is pretty accurate. The sensor is not the best on the market, but still does it's job pretty good
Is there one for Canada? I've been wanted to get this but I don't see one for Canada. Please share the link where to purchase these for Canada. Thanks!
I'm going to replace my apple watch with this, I got tired of charging my watch every damn day. And I don't even use any of the apps on my watch haha, mostly just use it as a watch for time. Too bulky to have it on all the time.
@@LUNACYCL honestly i switched from the Galaxy Watch to the Fit 2 because if i break it it wont hurt that pocket that much And has all the basic features i need I dont run aplications on my Watch honestly
Do you have any idea why my fit 2 doesn't show my resting heart rate on the band??🤔 I have it on continuously, & it's measuring the heart beats fine, but just doesn't give me the resting heart rate stat on the band, although I have the resting heart rate stats for past days in the app..
idk samsung spec page shows no HR monitor, i am just wondering is it a good stand alone use fit watch, if my father cant really use the app can you get the most out of this without connecting to phone?
Mike i was wondering does the galaxy fit and watch 3 have a pass off feature? For example I have a job where I work with my hands alot and k want to wear the fit to work and wear the watch when I'm not at the jon site will they sync with each other like just passing off the data from one to another when I take one off and put one on? Can you test it out
I noticed this review describes it has having an ambient light sensor, which it does not. I've had my fit 2 for a few weeks, the only thing its critically missing is an ambient light sensor. It's a PITA to always have to change the screen brightness. Seriously samsung, make it $5 more and put in the damn sensor.
Nice jacket mate 👌. I was interested when you mentioned the great reduction in price but when you said the app had adverts I stopped caring for it. I purchase all useful apps so I can rid my life of adverts in free apps. We don't have 30% of adverts here in England that you folks have over there. Not used to them, unbearable. Lol. Thanks for the review. Now off to watch the Mi Band comparison anyway, just to show my support. Thanks right there Mike. Keep them coming but don't forget to sleep.
No time to sleep this month. I have a few more videos coming out today. And I'm still waiting on my new green jacket to come in the mail. It was supposed to be here by now but maybe next week
I have a question, will 2 connected bluetooth devices drain my phone battery faster than one device? E.g. I have Galaxy Buds+, and if I buy Fit2 will my phone battery drain faster if I use them both at the same time?
I have the galaxy buds+ and the galaxy watch 3 connected to my phone and there isn't much battery drain, Bluetooth doesn't use that much power, unlike wifi

May Galaxy fit 2 be connected with Polar H10, or just display health metrics that are being recorded by smartphone while training: heart rate, cadence, training time, pace?
Can this track cardio, HIIT, and weight exercises?
If you live in Brazil, the price is worth it, the other smartwatchs are too expensive for the standards we have here
Iam considering about buing galaxy watch active 2. Is it still worth? I mean I really want to track time to time some activity and also want more sport looking watch so? I really don't think that galaxy watch 3 would suit my style we'll so you have any sugesstions? Or should I go witch active 2 ?
Hey, can someone tell whether Samsung has fixed inaccurate heart rate tracking or not?
@Haqqi Abdillah well I bought it yesterday and I can say that it is pretty accurate. The sensor is not the best on the market, but still does it's job pretty good
Is there one for Canada? I've been wanted to get this but I don't see one for Canada. Please share the link where to purchase these for Canada. Thanks!
Great info! Thanks! I just got this yesterday.
I'm going to replace my apple watch with this, I got tired of charging my watch every damn day. And I don't even use any of the apps on my watch haha, mostly just use it as a watch for time. Too bulky to have it on all the time.
See I have this but was considering the active 2, but I don't really use apps, I just wanted a bigger screen and the VO2, but idk if it's worth it.
@@LUNACYCL honestly i switched from the Galaxy Watch to the Fit 2 because if i break it it wont hurt that pocket that much
And has all the basic features i need
I dont run aplications on my Watch honestly
Will it start and stop recording on your phone if you have the camera/video on?
Can you test it out
Do I need to carry my phone with to track my route? I don’t carry my phone due to safety concerns. Really want to track my routes and distances
Yea, exactly same with me. It's a shame this device won't do that.
You have to carry your phone 📱 😒
Even with the phone I can't see the map in Samsung Health when I start the run from the band, can you? Thanks
@@javierdavidtorreshernandez9772 no i can't, for that we have to buy smart watch .
Just now getting one, have they made the update to heart rate monitor?
Great, thanks for good review!
@@tunalad tell that to my exynos :(
@@patroklo 😂 it's ok bro I got the galaxy a50 and the battery still lasts me long enough
Does it work with strava/ spotify?
Can someone reply to the poor girl please i need to know lol
