Very good review. I have the scarlet one. Coming from a Galaxy Fit 1. A big upgrade, especially the battery life. With everything on and 8/10 brightness got 2.5-3 days on the Fit 1 and 5.5-6 days on the Fit 2. The charging is also twice as fast from 2hr and something to 1hr and something. Also has less bugs. However with the recent software update they made they the alarm from the phone can't be stopped fully from the bracelet, but only muted. And when you put your hand on the bracelet only mutes the alarm on it and not the phone. Strange change.
The other stupid thing is there is no schedule for the night mode. You can make it automatic based on your sleep cycle, but it's not working properly. Sometimes during the night it just turns the night mode off and I am just turning It on/off manually like I did on the Fit 1. Have you noticed that?
And lastly there are not much more watch faces than the Fit 1. The other major issue I had.

After owning Galaxy fit 2 a month now I did not know that I can scroll left and have more watch faces than those you can see normally,that made me happy and made my day❤ Great review. How does sleep tracking work for you? Today for me my tracker recorded my sleep wrongly it said I slept only for 2 hours ,I move in my sleep a lot probably that was an issue,hope you can help explain it.

Galaxy Fit 2 is still getting new software update with new features. And it's more accurate then other brand at this price. It counts very useful amount of Data.

@Tech4All Me also. It's user interface is very useful for Gym. I appreciate it everyday when I use it at the gym.
A cualm I have on this device is the frequent inaccuracy in my heartbeat/sleep. Fitbit is still better in my opinion for for more balanced and accurate health monitoring, which I assume most people buy these watches for. Samsung is for those who just want a general monitoring of your heartbeat and steps, but nothing more imo.
Most companies use the same kind (or very similar) chipsets inside - so I believe the results of both should be quite similar if you wear them tightly. Glad to hear you enjoy your Fitbit!

My friend bought a new Samsung S20 FE 5G edition and I think he got a Fit 2 as a gift, checking it with him, wonder what he thinks though he never used such things in the past as far as I know

Yeah, samsung have surprised many people with the new Galaxy Fit 2. Well worth the money.
HR accuracy isn't really good on the Fit2. Fitbit is way more accurate.

Yes, it is pretty accurate.
No O2 monitoring is a huge oversight. It would have made it perfect. I had to return it because of that.

No gps might be a no go for me. I run daily and would like something that can track that very accurately.
You can check the Amazfit Bip series, or the Huawei Band 4 Pro (in case you are not using iPhone)

Awesome review by the way. It is definitely one of the best I have ever seen that's based on the fit 2.
Yes, it shows the name of the alarm. And if you set reminders in an app it will show them at the time you selected, but you can’t mark them as finished (just make sure you have notifiactions turned on for the app in the galaxy wear app)
I finally got the fit 2...got it a week ago :)
I've seen reviews that say the fit2 HR tracker is not that accurate and others say it is. I am so lost because this will be a make or brake. Can you explain how you tested to see that the HR is accurate?
Yes - I compare to my daily routine and it looks alright.
I regularly play football (soccer) each wednesday and know well the states of my HR. I saw the same spikes with the Fit 2 and it makes me think it's good.
The HR measured during sleep time is also fine and matching my usual rates.
Remember - it's important the band to be tight around the wrist for best results.

Band 5 is slightly better than the 4. The 6th generation seems to be a more radical change, so interesting to see what's new there.

It can track freestyle workouts. Sometimes accurately, sometimes - not that much.

Try a reset. If that doesn't help - better ask for a replacement unit.
I've seen a lot of test reviews showing this band was inferior in accuracy compared to its competitors, has this been fixed recently?
While I was testing it - its accuracy was totally fine.

@@TechMishka I keep corresponding with them, they say the only difference with the two versions are the packaging and manual (since I also wait for the global version), but once one gets the CN version, he can upgrade the firmware and it supports 42 languages.

Unfortunately this won't work with the Galaxy Fit 2. You will need a smartwatch with storage and bluetooth option. Huawei Watch GT2 can do it. Or Amazfit GTR2.

What did you compare with when you came to the conclusion that the sleep tracker is precise?
My own sleep habits. I often use bands and know well my cycles. Huawei Watch GT2 series are the ones i most often use.

Can you tell how to turn on sound while using the “Find my phone” feature of Galaxy Fit 2 with the iPhone?
The phone just vibrates when I use the Find my phone feature on my band, when it’s supposed to make a loud sound.

Each workout counts calories from 0 onwards. And yeah - sleep tracking is accurate.
Can Bluetooth be turned off on this device? I don't want Bluetooth on all night while I sleep using sleep tracking.

Not sure if there's a way to reset it. Maybe try changing the date on your phone temporarily?

No way to link spotify. You can run it on your phone and make the watch control the playback - that's all that it can do.

It will track all day long and then sync it to the phone once it is in range.

Well... Samsung's ecosystem is a little complicated. I see their reasons why, but cannot see why they don't try merging it all in only one app.
As someone with the Galaxy Watch 3 and who runs everyday, you literally only need two apps and really only use one of them all the time. The Samsung Wearables app is basically just your watch settings, that once you set up, you don't really ever go back into, unless you're bored with your watch face. The app you'll always use is Samsung Health, and that breaks down all your runs or workouts or whatever you do.
Not sure why he is saying you need 4 apps....a plug-in isn't a separate app, it's just a part of the Wearables app. It's like a Google Chrome extension...you download it once upon setup and you're done. For example, you wouldn't call the AdBlock Plus chrome extension a separate program, when it's literally in Chrome.
They have these two apps separate because you can still use Samsung Health with just your phone if you don't have a watch and the Wearables app is literally just your settings.

Yes, you can start the workout from the tracker itself. Once it's finished, it will sync with the phone.
Ona advantage keeping the phone around is that during outdoor running the tracker can use the phone's GPS signal.
I got one today, but the screen is not the same as the right one, the screen is at the left not glued(?) right.
Sounds like your has a hardware issue. Better check how to get it replaced.

Even mi band default not many but 3rd party eventually appeared. Maybe we have to wait for Samsung?

It will show you the pace, but it will not be as accurate as if you have a GPS around.
Does it give you alert on dramatic heart rate change?
It can be configured to warn you in case the heart rate exceeds certain treshold.
