I have taught the Catholic Faith for 20+ years, and been to more conferences, and heard more presentations than I can remember. I was at SEEK2019 with the leadership team of the Division of Evangelization from the Diocese of Phoenix, where I work, and I attended this talk. This is the single best talk to men I have ever heard. It is astonishingly good. Dr. Reyes is talking to 8,000 college men, like a father talking to his sons. They gave him a standing ovation. A guy behind me, during the talk, said to the guy next to him, "This is the best talk I've ever heard." To which the other guy responded, "Totally." Share this with every guy you know, and every guy you love.
I want to let you know, I watched this video based solely on your comment. I watch a lot SEEK Conference videos but usually only Mike Schmitz, Paul Kim and Edward Sri. I always scroll past this man. @@zwijac Glad you watched it, and glad you are sharing it. I've told/shared it as much as possible since SEEK. Have you also watched Fr. Mike Schmitz's keynote from the final day? If not, make sure you catch that one, too. The personal example he uses to illustrate indifference as not not caring, but not caring enough to act is absolutely beautiful. Mike Schmitz's keynote on the final day blew me away, I will be thinking and praying about those for a long, long time. Peace+
A true MAN of God teaching each individual person in the room how to be a true MAN of God. This is one of those talks that falls under telling people what they "NEED" to hear vs. what they "WANT" to hear. I needed to hear it and it might go down as the most impactful talk I've ever witnessed. God bless!
