I played this song for my mom on one of her last days when she was lying in bed dying of cancer and she still tried to smile. She loved Rod Stewart so much, and one of our best memories together was when I took her to his concert in Vancouver. This song will always have a special place in my heart. I love you Mom always and forever!!

My dad passed away from cancer 2 years ago on the 6th of September. My parents have a clock that plays different songs. This is the song that played when he passed at 11 pm that night!! 💙💖 We are going to see him in concert tonight. Gonna be an emotional night! 😢
I think my wife loved Rod Stewart as much as she love me. She too fought cancer for four years. Each evening while under hospice care at home, we would play Rod Stewart songs. Near the end, she was so doped up with morphine that she couldn’t lift her head, her eyes or smile. But when we played one of Rod Stewart songs, we could see the covers over her foot bouncing back-and-forth.

Never a dull moment.. lol. I fell into that one.. That album was extremely popular back in 72. Twisting the night away was one of my favorite songs on that album. I actually enjoyed the whole album to this day. Those days were priceless in my eyes...
