Hey Denis. Thanks for the shoutout. The pattern is made after Mareko Maumasi's Tessellating Mosaic pattern. I will have a couple of videos on making this particular knife coming out soon. Looking forward to see your bowie finished up. It's looking great.
@@TyrellKnifeworks This was one of Maumasi's. Here's a link to the post where he walks through it. instagram.com/p/BZTQfIfhqZz/ He has some great walk through's for many of the patterns he's done.
Beautiful knife Bill. 🤘 That bowie profile is looking pretty 😍👍 Denis, I can't wait to see it all dialed in. That grinder still has me all kind of jelly. I got one coming that I had purchased off of my brother , unfortunately it doesn't have the horizontal feature... Yet... 😂 Welder coming soon!
@@TyrellKnifeworks Funny lol I was back tracking on some of your earlier videos last night and seen yours. I will have to weigh my options once I have it in hand. I can definitely do the work rest and... then maybe.. do a little tilty tilty. Regardless I need a welder 😁
@@TyrellKnifeworks Don't say it out loud.. She might hear you! It's amazing how much I have acquired already and I've just started in January. From 1x 30 from Harbor freight and a Drill press and the forge my wife got me for Christmas. Everything to date now has been done on a 2 x 42 I got a month after and now goin to a 2x72 , waiting on an Oven .. feels like it's moving so fast! And I love it!
I love my Brodbeck. I might have to make a spark guard but afraid it might get clogged when I do wood handle work. I do with it had better reverse tracking for sharpening.
I haven’t used it when doing handles yet but I think it’ll be ok. I have a dust collector and that sucks up the majority of the wood dust. I haven’t put mine in reverse, and I don’t sharpen on it. Tough to get them to track well in both directions.
I've been so busy lately that I'll probably never get caught up on on my favorite channels, but I'm definitely going to find the Bowie video and watch the. The viewer knife is beautifully done. I'll have to go check him out....add a channel that I can't keep up with lol
Ever thought about water cooling your grinder? Its been done before its a hassle but has many benefits, just thought ide annoy you by making you think about it 😁
@@TyrellKnifeworks yes it does make a mess and usually looks terrible , would be great to see some one do it correctly with Perspex sheeting not plastic bags , and enclosed system with brushes on the belt to prevent the same problem your having with sparks , maybe extended shafts on all the wheels to make more room with water tight seal/bearings on the shafts , alternative would be to use a slower moving water wheel like murry carter uses ( still makes me sad he lost fudged in fire lol)
Do you have any other grinder mods you've done or suggest?

I’m curious how you did the pattern. It’s quite close to what I’m doing. I’ll have to check it out. 👍

Wow, Bill, that’s an awesome knife! Well done, fella!
I enjoyed this one Denis, mate.
Great job buddy 👊🏻
I think Bill did an amazing job on that knife. Thanks Pete!

You can do plenty without the horizontal feature on the grinder. It’s a luxury for sure. Just make a vertical rest and use it that way. 👍

Yup, definitely need the welder. I had contemplated making my old one tilt but I wanted the rest setup for the Brodbeck and all the attachments. 😜

Good modification! Oh, and your newly beloved WEN metal cutting saw is completely sold out on Amazon and HD. Who knew you had so much influence???
Oh man, hopefully folks were using my affiliate link! 😜

I've certainly thought about it but I've heard it makes a real mess though. Who knows, maybe some day.
