I like that the re spins are limited, not because it let's mbt get out of the "allies of justice" pack and go into the "almost literally any other pack" pack, but because it makes the series less prone to have stupid match ups like tri-brigade vs crystal beasts or something, it's not spameable and it doesn't defeat the concept of the wheel either
Well luckily neither they nor anyone else wanted to see that. If you want to see decks with good cards completely stomp unplayable piles just make a new account, build something meta and beat up players in Rookie playing the starters.
I know 10 months old, but was curious so there are 21 good performapals/performapals that were good at one point. Guitartle, Lizardraw, Skullcrobat Joker, Odd-Eyes Dissolver, U GO Golem, Gentrude, Ladyrange, Monkeyboard, Pendulumucho, Odd-Eyes Synchron, Trampolynx (If you count Qli), Pendulum Sorcerer, Celestial Magician, Secondonkey, Odd-Eyes Seer, Butler, Valet, Light Phoenix, Coin Dragon and King Bear are good in casual variants, Gattlinghoul
I feel the most frustrating thing in this episode was Doug opening many copies of Sky pupil, Tecnically a Removal spell in this decks context that also resets your normal summons, and Not playing it KEKW. Regardless, this was a great episode

@@Druid-T eh, it's a quick play so you can activate it on your opponent's turn to circumvent that restriction. It's slow but if not for master rule 5 it would have been better. You basically need to control a link monster get real value off it, so it definitely sucks now, unless that one pendulum monster you summon is cracked.

I think performapal is one of those anime packs where there are so many cards for the deck that they split it into two secret packs kinda like how yusei has junk and stardust packs that both have important synchrons in them. I didn't even consider that when thinking of dud packs too lol. I think utopia and onomatopoeia are also split but I have no idea how necessary they are for each other
Doug still can't plan or take a minute to read his cards as usual. You could have at least sent the searcher to the grave with donkey 2 then summoned it back with donkey 1 and searched the sorcerer. Instead you're just focused on the birbs for some reason lmao

Pure Performapals, without the performage extra deck spam segment, can be various things, the archetype is too big, it has a rank 4 engine, a tribute engine, a stall engine, a fusion engine, but the most developed of them is the attack modification engine, it can do gnarly things with a couple of small monsters, sadly, cards like radish horse, rose, ballad and cheermole are not a part of the pack. But their concept is simple, throw attack boosts around everywhere and use your effects to benefit more of said boosts than your opponent. Smile World, as bad a card as it looks, it enables the plays from that side of the deck, other cards like smile potion were made with these mechanics in mind too. Alas, 80% of the performapals, specially the pendulum ones, are not present in the performapal pack, it makes no sense.
To answer Doug's question, I'm pretty sure Odd-Eyes gets its own Secret Pack. Performapal is already a massive archetype as-is so it wouldn't make sense to bloat the card pool of their Secret Pack even more by including a second Archetype, even if it's an Archetype that intentionally synergizes with Performapal cards.

Weirdly enough, while the other pack is mostly Odd-Eyes stuff, it's like they didn't have enough cards to fill it out, and gave it some of the Performapals to fill it out, meaning you get two really weird packs that really should have been one if possible. The other pack doesn't even have any Performapal monsters above Common rarity iirc.
one time i was pulling a 10 pack, there were maybe 2-3 yellow packs and i was pretty unahppy. But when i opened them, at least 5 of them pulsed out and upgraded into either supers and ultras. Its the most pack upgrades ive ever seen in one 10 pack.
I saw you put in 3 smile Universes and i couldn't help but crack up lol it is crazy if you have a good link setup though. Also, you were pretty close to a really nutty play. If you had attacked with Silverclaw at 22 minutes instead of Skullcrobat you could have summoned Smile Sorcerer to add a smile card to your hand on your turn. You might have also been able to draw 3 at that point if you had some way to gain more attack :o

hopefully you look at comments, but whoever is victor or decides to go 1st for Roll should have the choice of keeping that pack or rerolling, now if you do reroll, the 1st pack is still available for you. you can choose between the 1st one you got or the 2nd. whatever pack you didnt pick will be left for the opponent to take. but they too will get a roll and have the same option as the 1st person in which they keep that pack they rolled for or the 1 you didnt pick - as for what packs and or what you choose should be anonymous you can say the name of the packs but obviously not whats in it. i think these rules should balance things out and be a little fun. imo
dzeef didnt play performapall Sky Pupil sadly since its efect is realy good in this kind of format and he was playing tripple donkey who can sumon itself and sky, sky basicly pops anything it atacks even if it has higher atack as long as you control 1 other performapall
Probably just have a second deck build with 15 total cards only in that deck to reference off of. I really do wish they'd add a best of 3 format even if it's just duel rooms.
If your craft a card to unlock the pack, it might be good if your allowed to use the card you craft for the unlock key. It would decrease the odds a persons deck just being non-functioning. it wouldn't really do anything about the match-up imbalance us less only the loser got to do it.
The appeal is seeing if they can put together something playable or use their head to make the deck work despite how bad the pulls are. A free craft is antithetical to that.
I don't think more spins will fix anything, what you need is access to more playable cards, you could for example make it so each of you is allowed to craft 1 card from the secret pack you opened, so the game isn't decided from the beginning due to bad pulls.
