- Welcome to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Roulette! In this series @MBTYuGiOh and I each spin a wheel featuring every Secret Pack in Master Duel. We then build decks using 20 of only those Secret Packs before playing a Match to determine that episode’s winner. The winner of each episode gets to decide if they want the first or second Secret Pack from the wheel during the next episode, but they must choose before seeing what the second spin lands on! He been playing too much Duel Links
Doug was the protagonist while Joseph was the rival. Doug building a deck from scratch, while Joseph with his multi-billion company buying/ creating his deck. Honestly the sequence of events shall be the opposite. First was Doug getting oblirated, next was he was able to fought a good fight, and the finale was the 1st match.
I mean, that sequence of events would end at 2-0
This episode really lets us appreciate the average D/D/D player using only 1% of our brain power

Yeah, I was like, OH. Someone is getting stomped.
Yeah I shouldn't have hit pause. I legit thought they forgot to play gm3 and was just talking for 4 mins but I recalled Dzeef doesn't do that.
Man, those first two matches were nuts. Just goes to show how tricky D/D/D is to play when a near constructed tier deck almost got 2-0'd by some odd assortment of cards claiming to be a Bujin deck. Game 3 at least showed why it's terrifying to allow the thing to pop off even a little, what a massacre.
What a great episode. Going into the Duel, it really felt like Doug had no shot, but then he pulled out Game 1, and took Game 2 to the wire. Really leaves you with the impression that anything can happen in a format like this.
And he probably would have won game 2 if he destroyed the scale instead of going for the monster, kinda sad.
I feel like both sides should get one craft from the pack so the consistency goes up and we can see a sealed deck at full potential.

Master Saga and Roulette are probably the most entertaining YGO content I've watched in youtube yet. I love these series.
"Guaranteed ultra, hoping it's from the pack..."
It honestly shocks me how much money they've spent on packs and don't know how they work. When you buy your first 10-pack of cards, the 80th card exactly will always be an SR or better, no matter what the colorful border around the card says, so it'll always be from the pack. This is actually good because it does _not_ cheat you out of any guaranteed SR from any of the other 79 cards, like if you say, only got a single SR from the first 79, it won't say "okay, you got your guaranteed SR, the 80th one won't be SR anymore", it just gives you the additional high rarity.
So in this case, since Doug didn't get a UR in his first 10-pack, the 80th card in his second 10-pack will be a guaranteed UR, not accounting for any additional URs pulled in the other 79 cards.
Edit: I also saw someone in chat the other day say the Utopia animation means you got multiple of the highest rarity pull in the single pack, which means if it's a rainbow border, you actually got two or more URs. However, if the pack has a gold border, there's a chance it's a jebait and doesn't actually contain a SR, and in that case the utopia animation means you got more than one R card, which is an entirely pointless thing to hype up.
Packs are so confusing in this game. I hope they adjust them to not do this confusing gold stuff.
It'd be nice if the pack glowing meant anything. I thought it was dumb in Duel Links when it would go through a hundred animations and the pack just had 2 commons and a rare.

i find it really mind boggling how they simply don't read how the pack openings work in this game
also, each pack contains 8 cards so a 10 pack pull would have only 80 cards meaning the guaranteed sr/ur is the 80th and not the 100th one from the opening, just a little detail to point out

Dzeef should really implement a system where they are allowed to craft one card by dismantling the URs or SRs they pull in their packs that they are unable to use.
They would end up using too many generic staples. Rule would have to be their craft has to come from the secret pack if they do that.
@@hermitxIII I honestly enjoy that idea a lot. It would help a ton when they pull a set that relies a ton on a small group of cards.
Doug I'm pretty sure by now yk when you get "guaranteed UR pack" it's always going to be the last card in the last pack

I feel like someone needs to explain how the guaranteed rarity cards work in these packs. Basically, the last card of the last pack per 10 is guaranteed to be a SR, and if you don't pull an UR in 10 packs the last card in the last pack is an UR instead of an SR. Also, in a 10 pack with normal odds the last card of the last pack has I believe a 20% chance of being an UR regardless of previous pulls. I just feel like this often gets misunderstood, so I hope this helps make packs more predictable.

This was real Yugioh. Back and Forth Gameplay. The leaning of the scales from one side having advantage to the other overtaking them. THIS IS ENTERTAINMENT!
The final card in the 10th pack is always a super from the pack, and if you get a guaranteed ultra it's that final card that is guaranteed UR. No exceptions!
D/D/D link is from the set that had halq and selene
Bujins are slept on, they are sick, they got some fun lines, its more than just Yamato kaiser pass.
This is why you don't sleep on D/D/D. It has an amazing grind game and can pull big monsters out multiple ways.
You can blame the pulls all you want but you looked at the word Bujin and thought it would be playable….
Hey, i understand him, last episode MBT passed Blackwing and ended up having to build laval/ally of justice, bujin is not so bad that is worth the risk of getting something worse

Really enjoying this series.. but i have a potential idea to add... what if the 1 card yoi craft to unlock the pack is the card you keep, that be cool to see.. like: 'is he going to have multiples of the crafted one or is it going to save the pulls that he crafted that 1 card before pulling the packs.. keep this series going im really loving the dynamic between you two dough

At 42:21 to 42:31, instead of using king abyss to pop, you could've xyz summoned into super doom king using thomas and doom king. Keep king abyss on the field, then using abyss king you target your super doom king to pop/banish his card (super doom king won't be destroyed since it cannot be destroyed by card effects) this way you'll can pop 3 times since super doom king allows you to pop based on the pendulum monsters you control!

I play Bujin Fire Fist Tri Brigade in the tcg and master duel, it’s pretty great, do not play Yamato though, he’s a bit slow

Food for thought Doug. How about a rule that you can dismantle rare card not from the set, that you inevitably get from opening packs, to craft cards from the set.

In Master Duel the guaranteed SRs and URs are always the last card of the 10th Pack
So if you have a guaranteed UR it means that the 8th card of the 10th Pack will always be an UR
If you pull another UR it doesn't "consume" your guaranteed UR but instead it's an additional UR
