- Welcome to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Roulette! In this series MBT and I each spin a wheel featuring every Secret Pack in Master Duel. We then build decks using 20 of only those Secret Packs before playing a Match to determine that episode’s winner. The winner of each episode gets to decide if they want the first or second Secret Pack from the wheel during the next episode, but they must choose before seeing what the second spin lands on! The series finale should be opening legacy packs and just trying to salvage something from that mess
They already did that few months ago but idm it'd still be fun

Granted there's actually good cards in the lagacy pack the problem is getting them, there's a day of peace (i use it in sky strikers), tomahawk is not as good as it was, all the barriers statues, the vanilla level 8 you know the one, and one of the sharks boss monsters it is a floodgate

As somebody who played Infernoids a lot back when they came out, it warms my heart to see them actually function. It's such a high roll archetype though and of course it would work for Joseph in this series in particular

I can't believe that Doug rolled the perfect N/R archetype pack, and then proceeded to lose to "Life Force Control System was released in January 2022. This set introduced the Infernoids, a series of monsters that can Special Summon themselves to the field by banishing other Infernoids from either the hand or graveyard. Notable cards in this set include...".
If it was Pure Luna and not Luna+Birds sure. The fact it wasnt a pure Luna pack means there was no guarantee Doug would pull enough for a playable version and not end up with a zombie mishmash of both archetypes.
Going for the Phantasm spyral pack was the better choice sadly Doug did not pull enough copies of Pacifis to play it effectively

The ending of Master Roulette episodes is always so abrupt and weird.

To me and my eu pals, this episode came exactly to new years. What a nice way to start 2023!

When the natural order of the world was disrupted after sophia's advent and the many wars of the dual terminal, the ancient machines sleeping within the Naturia Sacred Tree - the quilp and the infernoids they contained within - where awakened to destroy the world and restart it, thus returning the natural order... good to see doug and mbt are just playing according to the lore :>
So... Something I think might help a little bit with the issue of not pulling what you need for the strat: Since secret packs require you either draw or craft a card already in the pack... perhaps Dzeeff and MBT could use whatever card they crafted for the secret pack as apart of the cards they can use for that episode? (seeing as it would give them at least one guaranteed SR/UR for the duel and they have to craft the card anyway)
Maybe only an sr to be "balanced". Is a good idea.

As the year comes to a close I just wanna say that it has been an absolute blast watching your videos over the past 12 or so months. I slowly came back to yugioh because I happened upon a Farfa reaction to Prog and seeing some Yu-Gi-Oh game having an insane amount of viewers on Twitch sparked my interest in getting back into actually playing for the first time since like 2005. Then your videos, along with MBT’s and the other ygo content creators’, popped up in my recommendations and I haven’t gone back since. I enjoy every video and series I’ve watched from this community but I can confidently say I enjoyed yours the most so I really do wanna thank you for all the smiles and laughs this past year. Finding out about and getting into this community really helped me a lot this year and I hope it does the same next year, so here’s to an even better 2023

I was like "2-1 Dzeeff" then I play test one Danger Dark World Combo and I look back at my phone and MBT won. I'm pretty sure he's just a God at limited.
That title describes this video as a whole. I just... it's not one of the best duels to go down but the series always stands strong, always! Happy New Year to Dzeeff and MBT, looking forward to more Master Roulette and hope it wins the votes!

Doug misplays and opposition to reading always hit for me
Here's an idea I had for a funny, semi-competitive video or series you could do with a guest.
Each duelist makes a list of three archetypes. Then you each lock in one archetype from the other duelist's list, followed by one from your own list, and then toss a coin to determine who gets which of the remaining two archetypes. Finally, build a deck using 13 cards from each of your archetypes and one card of your choice, then duel! (Extra deck can only include cards from your archetypes, but in any ratio)
Quick example: you name Altergeist, Fabled, and Frogs. MBT names HERO, Wind-Up, and Danger. You lock in HERO, he locks in Altergeist. You lock in Fabled, he locks in Wind-Up. The coin toss gives you Danger and him Frogs. You now have to build HERO Fabled Danger vs MBT with Altergeist Wind-Up Frogs.

Haven't watched yet, but you are out of your mind passing up the luna light pack. Even without any SRs or URs I suspect it's an insanely strong deck in sealed. Crimson fox, yellow marten and a fusion that can attack multiple times and can't be destroyed by battle can still OTK, and is more than enough to carry.
Would love to see both mbt and doug reacting to each other's deck after duels
I really got thrown for a loop at the part where Doug said "do YOU (as in MBT) want to respin?"
To be fair, even if Doug pulled the full Pacifis engine, its completely useless unless you open the field spell, and there isnt a way to search it in the pack, so he prolly wouldve bricked a bunch anyways

I get it, the luna/lyri pack is a bit too high roley and they aren't perfect together to say the least, but Lyrilusc are my favorite deck at the moment so it did hurt my heart a little when both of you skipped it. Though admittedly, the respun packs are pretty cool too so i'm sure it's fine regardless
Same but for Lunalight, and I also played some Lyrilusc Tri for a while, absolutely love that pack but I get why they didn't go for it.
i know if anyone yugituber would see this it'd be doug. devyaty means ninth in russiand and onuncu means tenth in turkish so onuncu is not actually pronounced with and S (onun-su) or a K (onun-ku) sound but with a J sound (like onun-juu)
And as soon as it began, the Doug dynasty is over

The Luna-Tri pack is definitely not great, but I think it's better than you give it credit for
There are entire decks in limited that don't have a convincing out to Assembled Nightingale + Celestine Wagtail
Either half the pack is great, the problem is that you have to pull the right half, because they don’t work together in the slightest.
It’s the same problem as the Infernoid/Qli pack, except well both half’s are better

Lunalight does not play well into Pacifis had Doug pulled enough copies to play it. Infernoids however does. To top it off there was no guarantee Doug would pull enough Lunalights to even make it playable due to the set being a mixed set
