Happy belated birthday and congrats on finding that unicorn that has been haunting you for so long! I know the feeling - I've been suffering the same fate about a book that I started reading in the late '80s, never finished, but have been searching for since probably the late '90s. I don't remember the name, the author, and only a vague (probably faulty) bit of the cover art. So yeah, I'm super happy you finally found it! Same goes for the Spaceways find. I have never seen those in the wild. The Omega Cage and Mystic Rebel both look pretty rad too. I finished the Silverglass series in December - another one that I saw on Nick's channel haha. Anyway, fantastic haul!

Yeah, it's funny, everyone seems to have a story like that. I hope you solve your mystery someday too.

Love 'The Book Graveyard' shirt! Yes, 'To Your Scattered Bodies Go', excited to have you on the channel. A Malzberg for less than $1 is a great deal, since his passing his books have become a bit more expensive and harder to find. The Ace L. Ron Hubbard is awesome. Hard to be a God by the Strugatsky's for $1.50 is insane, that is a very collectible book. That book store has some really good deals for paperbacks.

I thought I was getting good deals on those. I'm not as much of an expert as you, but when I see big names like those I feel like I've found something special. Especially the Sturgatsky book. The store is McKays books. There's a few locations in the southeast if you ever find yourself around here.

I have read "To Your Scattered Bodies Go" by Philip Jose Farmer and I think you and Ira are going to enjoy that one. Also read the Hyperion series which I think is great. But most of the titles you've shown I haven't heard of, that time travel series to the medieval times of an alien named "Scorpio" sounds great... there were also some other titles in there that looked interesting and that I've marked on GoodReads to perhaps start looking for some time when I'm out of ideas what to read next!

@ So, there is this woman, hunted by an evil, maybe demonic man in some cowboy outfit. She meets another mysterious stranger, who also looks like a cowboy, and together, they are driving around in a car, mostly through deserted American towns, trying to escape the evil cowboy guy. The showdown takes place around some of those water towers they have or had in small towns. The movie must have been from the late 80s or early 90s and had the distinct B-movie vibe of that era. It’s not Warlock 1 or 2, it’s not Ghost Town, it’s not Retroactive and its not Richard Stanleys Dust Devil. And … that’s all I have. Like you, I’m starting to believe that I dreamed seeing that movie. Does something about it ring any bell? … By the way, I already ordered HELL. It’s actually based on a video game, but it got very good reviews. I‘m intrigued.

But once I got it home, it was WAYYY over my head. Just too confusing and a way bigger vocabulary than I could handle. Then in the past year or two I’m almost certain that I found it, and I’ve been reading through the series. It’s from Gene Wolfe’s “Book of the New Sun”, in particular “Citadel of the Autarch”. You can see the cover on “Sword and Citadel” by Gene Wolfe as well, it just combines the last two books of the New Sun series in one book.
