Wow when he said "you are gonna be a person longer than you'll be a fighter" he understood that she has made fighting a large part of her identity, and he not only embraces that as something good, but is a living example of how that can ruin a person, the warning against becoming a fighter, instead of a person who fights, is the best and most personally crafted message he could have given, really shows him as respectful and thoughtful, I think the man deserves every bit of the peace he has earned in his adulthood.
great comment Oculus. Mike has always been a very intersting person throughout his life. He fought like no-one else, went wayward along the way and now is becoming a very wise, insightful man that atracts attention in others ways. As everyone has already noted, Mike has mellowed into a super classy guy and demonstrated that in this video. As a former teacher of English as a foreign language, I was impressed by how aware Mike was of the need to be clear and concise in his answers so as to not make it too difficult for his young translator. He knew that "reform school" was likely to be a term that she wouldn't understand and thus explained it simplistically as "a bad boys place". He's been around the world and knows how to communicate. He's also just a really considerate person. However, when that host put his hand on Mike's knee, Mike was like, I know all about "When in Rome", but Homeboy you about a second away from gettin' F'd up. He was laughing, but he was serious.
What's the problem in being slightly touch on the knee by a friend? Or in a friendly environment? I'm curious because I don't understand if you mean that is an offensive thing in north american culture. (by the way I dind't see Mike having a problem at all, but maybe I'm wrong)
@@19SilverSoul92 What is the awkward laughing at 14:35 about? What we don't see is Mike removing the host's hand. They were laughing at the awkwardness of that action. I can't speak for the rest of the world, but in North American culture that is unacceptable and seen as a potential sexual advance, and especially for anyone who has been to prison, anyone who allows that kind of action, is signaling a weakness or permission to allow further advancement. IF Mike were still in prison, he would have to make an example of that guy (seriously hurt him) to show everyone that he won't be a target. Mike is such a good guy at heart. This takes me waaaaay back to when I was a little boy and my dad would get on his knees and box with me......we had a set of everlast boxing gloves....those were great times back in the late 60's early 70's. I went on to become a boxer as well as grappling and various martial arts. I......like some....even back then knew you had to be able to fight stand up as well as grapple.....and full contact was the name of the game. But it all really started with a father teaching his young son how to box.

James Connolly Not going to lie that would be funny af to see her flying through the air though just like when Martin fought Tommy Hearns LMFAO.😳😬🤷🏽♂️🤣
@@pr_tr4p_g4wd20 I love it some people don't know what is really going on its just a joke people we all need to laugh sometimes it really helps I'd go nuts without laughter
Lol Mike definitely wasn’t going to do that. He’s a different and gentler person than in his boxing days
A kind man with a big heart inside his strong body, all respect 🙏

Tyson fans: "in his prime he would knock her out in the First round"
He he he hehehehehehehehehe
But he would have
@Francis of the filth copro? Ah ok! 💩
@Francis of the filth i know it's only a joke
@Francis of the filth What?? Of course he would knock her. Weight difference is too big, they are not even in same category
She lasted more then most of Tyson's opponents.
If he was serious then he would’ve killed her
Jake Action Figure NO SHIT 😳🤯🤦♂️
Jake Action Figure yea bro you don’t have to point out the obvious
Talha Barut the guy must have graduated from university!
TheLocoUnion yo don’t do him like that🤣😂
Its hard not to love Tyson, hes so humble with a big heart too
She doesnt seem to know that she is playing with a living Legend. 20 years later she will realise and will be speechless like I would be now.
Maybe she does how do you know
Did you not see her face light up like a thousand suns when she saw him? She definitely knows she got to meet the goat
@@xnabr7603 did you hear her age? Okay? In a sense she knows its Mike Tyson ,but I don't think she fully grasps the magnitude yet given the age, stop being silly, totyi36 is exactly right.
@@Warmenltif she has a passion for boxing, is probable that she does know about him. The opposite would be strange, like a basketball fan not knowing Michael Jordan .
@@godisdeadandwememedhim4174 You are not reading between the lines. Have I ever said she does not know him? Have I? She is simply too young to grasp the scale of it , thtas all. You are trying to point something out to me that I never argued.
Tony Ferguson the type of guy to ankle pick Mia

Champ shit only. Respect from Italy ahah 🇮🇹
ahahah this made my day! lol
this was so great, this is why we love Mike Tyson. we all relate to him, his ups, his downs.... and he still to us will he always be .....THE CHAMP. this was very cool of him.
Funny if the little girl before starting to hit Mike Tyson she would say: *PLEASE DON'T BIYE MY 👂 EAR!* 🤣🤣
Mike is such a respectable good smart man. Love this guy
the translating girl is awesome
I have always been touched by how much Iron Mike genuinely loved and respected Ali, and now I know why @ 13:25. Mike's chance encounter with Ali, the GOAT, changed his life forever. This speaks volumes about the two of them.
Wow, I learn something new everyday from Mike! He has redeemed himself and I think he is more famous now then when he was champ!
Sofia Jakupovic Ahaha finalmente qualcuno col senso dell' umorismo.

Mike Tyson is a great man. Unfortunately he faced some problems in his life.. God blessings on mike Tyson..
loved how mike was smiling, really wholesome, he found that little translator girl very impressive
Love Tyson-the post career life of this legend has been his ultimate redemption!
Much respect to Mike! You know that was a dream come true for the young lady! And he gave her wise words to live by.

Mike is nervous but at that time Mike needed money..that's why he was doing things like this...legend Mike...🙌🙌
kamal saxena lol so true XD
There is NO SHAME in doing what you have to do to feed your family!
kamal saxena don’t American former athlete get a big compensation when they retire?
What the fuck does that got to do with showing up in a show to suprise a child ? You´re either an asshole or a black racist.
Thats for charity I believe
Mike is so cute here.....makes me teary eyed to think of him as a little kid and how hard his life must've been .....would have loved to be his big brother or mentor at the time....he had gone through so much pain and difficulty
Mike is truly amazing from legendary talent to legendary psychopathy to legendary wisdom. he is an amazing man. well done Mike and well done Mia.
I agree
Mike is such a good guy at heart.
This takes me waaaaay back to when I was a little boy and my dad would get on his knees and box with me......we had a set of everlast boxing gloves....those were great times back in the late 60's early 70's. I went on to become a boxer as well as grappling and various martial arts. I......like some....even back then knew you had to be able to fight stand up as well as grapple.....and full contact was the name of the game. But it all really started with a father teaching his young son how to box.
That was really great. What a nice and gentle soul. If his manager, Cus DeMatto didn't die, I think Tyson would have broke every record in the boxing book. Every single one of them. He was unstoppable for awhile.
Go Girl! Nice job Mr. Tyson! That was heartwarming
Non ci posso credere. Meraviglioso. Gerry sei una persona magnifica ❤
Imagine just from nowhere tyson pulls out a left hook 💀💀
@Hazard187 HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAA
😂😂😂😂 or out of nowhere tyson punches the old man
The father was more excited than everyone. Haha 😂 I would have been also. Mike inspires young men to box. Mike is a legend.
I have seen Tyson fight, this is the most awesome thing he has done for this young lady
mikes such a great guy hes grown into a incredible man in his older age.
legend Mike Tyson....love u Mike...
punch in the ring or in life? "life is tougher" I feel you Tyson
La vita e' piu' dura!
La vie est dure.
She WENT FOR IT!!!! Love Mike! Such a genuine and awesome person.
Amazing. Thanks for sharing
