Hollywood runs on love contracts. Celebrities have to do a lottttttt of dirty things to get where they are. I wouldn't doubt that in order to win an Oscar they have to suck off certain higher ups. Or worse.

On a fight back to Phoenix I sat by a guy who was into tech like me, and we talked the whole fight. He was younger than me and we didn't look alike, but after landing it hit me I didn't introduce myself or ask his name, so I did and my name is Joel James and his turned out to be James Joel!! Of course as we exited the plane we joked about who's name was backwards lol 😆

That’s a major problem with US welfare - people get more money for having more kids. We need to stop rewarding irresponsible behavior and implement mandatory birth control for welfare recipients. My biggest pet peeve is “would of” instead of “would have.” I understand that’s how it sounds when using the contraction “would’ve,” but I don’t understand how someone could graduate high school…or even middle school…without knowing something as simple as that.

In regards to the immortal actors, there is such a thing as either genetics or 'twin strangers'. My half-brother looks just like the Serbian Colonel Dragutin T Dimitrijevic, who is actually my 9th cousin, once removed. BUT, my half-brother is from my dad's side, not my mum's, who Dimitrijevic is from. Explain that one!!

Right! The only reasonable explanation to me is that they weren't "friends", per se, but just friendly acquaintances. Perhaps crossing paths every now and again. In which case, him thinking they were the same person all along is more believable.

There are people everywhere that have similar looks and it doesnt have to have anything to do with genetics. We just notice it with actors because we see photos of them all the time.
I and my sister were adopted but from different biological parents and my sisters oldest daughter did a DNA test and found my sisters biological mother but unfortunately my sister passed away six years ago. I have not done a DNA test and I don't plan to until my mother passes, my father has already passed. To me they raised me from a baby so they are my parents not the person who gave me up.

I waited on a couple on a train years ago. The man looked so much like Seth MacFarlane, I had missed his order as I was staring at him. My coworkers were prodding me to ask for his autograph. When the ride was nearing the end , I finally mustered the courage to ask if he was Seth MacFarlane . He and his wife laughed out loud. They were actually New Zealanders.He told me ,when the actual Seth Mac hosted the Oscars, his phone was ringing off the hook all night as friends were calling to see what he was either living a double life; or had wanted him to turn on tv to see his doppleganger. Up to that time Seth MacFarlane was not too famous in New Zealand. He was a good sport about it, and we took a selfie to F with my friends on FB.

So in order for this theory to hold water you have to completely forget that for the most part Hollywood marriages just as easily be written on a dry erase board they start and end so quickly. What are there like a dozen couples who have lasted more than 4 years?
I was thinking the same thing! Compare those numbers to overall Hollywood divorces & how many years Hollywood marriages last.
The reason that first one happens to actors is because their marriages are PR stunts they only got married for the publicity. Once they get there award they achieved what they were after so they can finally break up.

My daughter has a doppelganger (from the past). A friend of my daughter found a portrait of a woman in a second-hand shop that looked almost identical to her. The woman in the portrait seemed about the same age - but 30 - 40 years prior. I put the pictures on Facebook hoping someone could ID the 'mystery twin', but I never got anyone to give us any leads. If there is any way to post their pics here let me know if you want to see them.

Winning an oscar puts people in more demand. More energy going into their career, less going into their relationship. Maybe some growing ego and the aligning insecurity issues, from one or both partners in the relationship (show-biz is a world of enormous, fragile, ego dynamics unimaginable to most), or less nefarious self validation which could see people realising their relationship is not best for them. I would imagine winning an oscar and troubles in a romantic relationship might be more realistic than coincidental, in Hollywood.
Regarding the academy awards, could it be that the 'curse' is that they've been working away on a blockbuster film? As in, correlation does not equal causation?
Listen, none of those "immortal" celebrities looks IDENTICAL to the historical person they're likened to. Sure, some of the resemblances are very strong, but I've yet to see a perfect likeness. (And in some cases, the two people's appearances have so little in common that it wouldn't even have occurred to me to pair them up.)

people, like animals, trees and rocks, tend to look like each other. i've seen at least 3 people, one of them a famous musician, who look, or at one time, looked like me. and what's really weird, they all look different from each other. i'll guarantee you that although we may have looked alike at some point in time we didn't look alike as children or as we aged. the fact that some people look like dead people from the past isn't odd at all. you can't even call it a coincidence. its just a propensity of nature. there's just so many ways to arrange a face. nature is bound to repeat those arrangements and OFTEN! thanks for the video.

(IMO only) With #10 I think that it's pretty cut and dry what's going on. During awards season these actors have to constantly be out, away from home, and promoting themselves. They trot the globe hoping to find favor with their fans and peers alike. They're in the best hotels in the most romantic cities surrounded by beauty and vanity. Just being away from home is probably enough to cause a fair amount of discord in the relationship, but add to that the constant self-advertising, non-stop partying/celebrating with their very attractive colleagues and fans, lack of communication, mix in some narcissistic hubris from being nominated---- I'm sure it doesn't take long for even the strongest of relationships to start crumbling. Jealousy, insecurities, infidelity and dishonesty. Doesn't seem like much of a mystery to me. Just a really stressful series of events, identical in it's trials, for any couple that endures it.

It's not a "coincidence" that some men are threatened by their wife getting such public acknowledgment of their success and talent.that statue sits there like an accusation that says, "You're not better than her. She's better than you."
Men are very competitive for genetic reasons, and if they feel they're competing with their wife, it takes a very mature, self aware man to not get threatened and upset by it.
Also, when men win an Oscar, they reach a new status, which can make them more likely to cheat.
It's easy to figure out, even if you're not a scientist or sociologist.
