- In this episode of Lincolnshires history.I decided to venture out to cleethorpes Beach with no high expectations.on arrival i noticed sand has moved and revealed low spots.so thats the first place i headed to.straight away i was into Gold followed with endless targets i went through full battery in camera and had to show mainly the good stuff otherwise video would have been a hour long.i did have a fair bit of scrap and trash targets.i really enjoyed the session. Really enjoying your videos and for someone returning to the hobby after 35 years it was very informative for me. I have a few questions, i have been on the council website and it says the beach is of historical interest and you need a permit to detect on it, but only one day might be approved at any one time. How did you manage to get on there to detect and why is the beach of historical interest. I'm just trying to detect within the law
Hi mate,thers 1 part of the beach that as remains of a ancient forest straight opposite wonder land near low water mark,the council have used every excuse to ban it on ther,it's restricted to no further than peir on left side and no further than grone on right site and no further than leisure centre they recon thers sea grass growing beyond them boundaries but have yet to see any,you have to apply for permit every time you want to go,hope that information helps and good look with the detecting

Very good results from that hunt pal!! Has there been a recent storm which may have shifted some of the sand? I've only ever had 1 ring off of cleathorpes I the dry sand, usually it all bottle tops, ring pulls and foil...😂🤣😅
Hi Andrew. i dont think thers been any recent storms.I think its just the tide as moved sand of that Area
@Lincolnshires History I think I'm gonna have a drive out to cleathorpes at some point this week for a swing. If nothing happens at least I'll be able to get some fish and chips for tea!!
Straight out from big wheel was where i was finding the goodies about 30 yards from the red n yellow boyds.that area would be worth a try.also straight out from the old wonderland market can pruduce reley old stuff thats where i had the silver Roman denarius.Good luck mate hope you find some good stuff

Hi Andrew,thers leisure promotions,Joan Allen, regtons,Crawfords they all do next day deliver and are all good honest shops but worth checking all ther websites because sometimes some have spical deals on hope that helps

Wouldn't bother ther dredging and beach is sanded in really bad at the min mate
@@lincolnshireshistory6877 if there dredging all the goodies are gone I'm based in Cardiff we got some nice Beaches here....
@@jmfogsy yeah mate was all good till they started Dredging was hitting into the victoiain layer unitill they started.but all beachs are the same its just getting the conditions right
