I don't even know if the carb lag and clutch setup will be huge for me if it's a little off. Ryan has actually dialed his clutch back a bit because his scoot is so aggressive with the RC-One. He doesn't like turns from stops because it tries to get the wheel up and makes it dangerous. I've rode his and there's no quick WOT off the line because it's coming up in the air. Most people that I've seen with street scoots that do good acceleration times have learned how to ease into the throttle. I have a feeling I'll be slower than the TPR for a bit, till I can figure out how to get going.
In Malossi crankcases the minarelli and piaggio versions differ only in engine mount. Otherwise they're the same -> Piaggio parts are useful for this as well.

Great vid, I’m building one at the moment. Great to list the parts missing and specs on 49ccscoot. I saw you had two nuts in your vid but only one in your missing parts list, part no. 289519. Do you know the other? Thanks.
If they used a bit of wood I packing, things would be much safer, a piece of plywood or board, so the crank could set in it, to keep it from sending the end of the crank through the foam packing, I bought a gy6 150engine and the case was broke from drop damage, if it had a piece of wood near the wheel size, it would not broke the case, and still fit in the box
Styrofoam is a whole lot cheaper than plywood so I don't imagine it's changing. I've had many cranks in styrofoam without issue. I'd think it had to get packed wrong at Malossi. If it were violently handled, I'd think it should have busted up the foam inside. For the engines, I agree that you need a good packaging system because of the weight.

Most people that I talked to having scoot wheels done in the US were in the $100-150 range. It's possible that the color makes it more for me, but that's A LOT more and there's really no excuse for the timeframe and melting and such.
@@49ccscoot IV never known powder coating to take months I can get it done on a Monday and returned on a Friday and it's a perfect job... Maybe it's a different process in the USA to here in the uk
I got my scoot almost where I want it, for being a 4t china 50, but I got a high compression airsol piston, 50mm, with a ported big valve head, I wish I ported it a bit more, and cut the jug a bit, for more compression, and a 150 exhaust, it's loud, short muffler, it has alot more low end TQ, and picked up about 10mph, it will easily push the needle as far as it will go, the speedo is about useless, I could use one of these, haha 😜, but for a daily scoot, mine is about where it needs to be, I do think the ncy cam hurt the top end power, but has alot more low end, I had an A9, but went to the ncy when swapping the engine a d bbk, the extra large valves is what gave it the 10mph more on top, I have the a9 cam, and an a8, but been thinking about getting one reground, to run in the 7k-9k rpm, I could have done a good bit more on the head porting, and cut about . 040"-.060" off the jug, because the piston is down the hole a bit, Can't wait to see/hear this thing go!!
Sounds like you've got the 139QMB pretty well dialed in. If you lose a little on top with the cam, but it feels strong down low, it could be a good thing for longevity if you aren't winding it out so much. Just depends if you're more worried about squeezing out every bit of performance.
I haven't used one on this engine, but I've used similar on others. I think it's a good idea to reduce friction/torsion as long as the base isn't thick enough to cause coil bind.
@@49ccscoot yes, the selettra can fit there due to the 3 holes mounting style of the am6 engine, you should use the Piaggio mvt and the am6 plate, I’m pretty sure it will work!
I'm always the one telling people I don't need a massive carb, but apparently quite a few people think the 28mm that it comes with holds it back. I'll have to see if I can find any dyno evidence. I think the 30mm Lectron that I got for it would be good... if it worked. Malossi says 28-30mm for the RC-One. People that get them seem to like to use 34mm carbs.
I've spent the majority of my time with any scoots working on Minarelli stuff, so I have a soft spot for them. That said, the Piaggio does seem like it's probably the better design.
They do. It's currently a little over $150. I've got a 4" disc that's 1/2" thick for $10 from McMaster-Carr so I'll see if I can do it at some point. If not, they're the backup plan.
The 2nd time too. He overcharged me on the first wheels and took longer than 2 weeks, but I really wanted the same color and they did provide a durable coating that has remained bright so I went back. Plus, not a lot of options near me. Never again though.
I regret building this taida 232cc 4valve Watercooled Gy6 Swapped Honda Ruckus and brent i need your help brother as the rocker arms on my 4 valve head are slightly off which will cause premature valve failure and taida refuses to help me or sell me the fix and wanted to know how you would fix it.
I'm not enough of a GY6 guy to have an easy answer there. Is Taida not even replying? Maybe one of their dealers could help. ScooterTuning.Ca sells some of their stuff so I'm not sure if they could help. Maybe contact one of the places that builds a lot of GY6 engines and maybe they'll know what works on that setup. David Bullock/Bullock Racing is a name I've heard a bunch as one of the best GY6 builders. ScooterSwapShop and DROW are a couple of others that I can think of. Sorry, I just don't follow the GY6 that closely and I'm guessing there's something specific that you need.
@49ccScoot ive talked to David he says i have to just watch it and put in titanium retainers as well as modify the what i call oil squirters on the bad side of roker arms or cam will not be lubricated properly. Thank you for answering me as i truly appreciate it
i hope someone from Malossi was watching this is was ashamed on how unfinished their product was with all those flakes and rough edges and messy drill holes.
I bought a Kent cam for a mini engine. I never checked it. Thought Kent. Big company. It be perfect. Damaged my cam bearings. Always check. They put the blame on me..for not checking.
Mixture can be pulled by the exhaust. If Malossi, 8.1 or even Yamaha (Vino 5BM engines) didn't think so; they wouldn't be designing cases with transitions from the reed area to the transfers. Look up 8.1 cases and see how pronounced it is. you can find people way smarter than me, the greats of 2T tuning, talking about the power of modern exhausts.
@@49ccscoot thanks for you answer! the piston is moving near to the under dead point there is a compression in the crankcase. when there is a direct flow from the reed to the exhaust it can't be significant and it is not so good. can you design an exhaust cone to the extra amount of gas to push back to the cilynder?
@@e1gr3co The pros have said that modern exhaust suction can open the reeds. Waxracing posted about it on my forum, but there has been more discussion elsewhere. I think it was in the ESE Engine Tuner thread on KiwiBiker or maybe it was the RSA 125 thread on Pit Lane.

Sounds like you've got the 139QMB pretty well dialed in. If you lose a little on top with the cam, but it feels strong down low, it could be a good thing for longevity if you aren't winding it out so much. Just depends if you're more worried about squeezing out every bit of performance.
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
great! what You think about the torque bearing hub from motorforce for the rear pulley?
I haven't used one on this engine, but I've used similar on others. I think it's a good idea to reduce friction/torsion as long as the base isn't thick enough to cause coil bind.
I had a pulley split, but it was Chinese, new just ha put it in to beat it all!
30 hp !! wow
Hi brother! This kit come with the electric malossi water pump too brother? Thank you 😊
If you get the whole RC-1 package it does include a pump.
You have to use a minarelli am6 adapter to fit the mvt!
AM6 base plate? Got any more info on this?
@@49ccscoot yes, the selettra can fit there due to the 3 holes mounting style of the am6 engine, you should use the Piaggio mvt and the am6 plate, I’m pretty sure it will work!
I am running a high output 130cc 2T & Engmod software says 28mm is optimum for the engine. Just makes it hard to imagine a 100cc needs more ...
What engine design do you like? I think the Piaggio design is far superior to the minarelli..
I've spent the majority of my time with any scoots working on Minarelli stuff, so I have a soft spot for them. That said, the Piaggio does seem like it's probably the better design.
You need to get your self a deburring tool, it’s like a pen with a hook on the end that swivels
26:32
I’ve only got to 25 mins in and had to pause and go back to work
13:33 i think scooter swap shop sells a mvt aluminum back plate for the rc one
They do. It's currently a little over $150. I've got a 4" disc that's 1/2" thick for $10 from McMaster-Carr so I'll see if I can do it at some point. If not, they're the backup plan.
That powder coater skrewed you!! 😭
The 2nd time too. He overcharged me on the first wheels and took longer than 2 weeks, but I really wanted the same color and they did provide a durable coating that has remained bright so I went back. Plus, not a lot of options near me. Never again though.
Nice hows it going brother
It's spring, so it's going better!
Hi how are you wow WOW, I due for new rubber I know what I'm getting now have a new exercise book so I can take notes thank you look after yourself
16:10 what are you talking about now? nothing flows directly from the reed valves into the transfer ports... :(
Mixture can be pulled by the exhaust.
@@49ccscoot well i have only piston controlled two strokers, they cannot suck through the reeds because of exhaust :)

Malossi seriously need to contact their tooling suppliers and order some deburring tools, makes it look like they don’t care about what they are selling or their customers 🙈🙈🙈🙈
Part 2??
Eventually?
hey man why did you order the piaggio engine for your aerox instead of the minarelli one?
It is a Minarelli version of the RC-One, but the RC-One is Piaggio based with a flange mount more or less. This is a Chinese scooter BTW, that had a Minarelli clone (1E40QMB).
RCOneboxing
More talking then assemble🤦🏻 in 53:57 i would assemble 3 scooters
Do you have a truck follow you to pick up the parts that fall off of these scoots that take about 18 minutes each to assemble or do they just never run?
Talk to much
30 hp !! wow
I think Malossi actually says 31HP. Could be 25 for all I know, but I don't think many will be sad when they get the first test ride.
