More and more i desire to live in a place like those, away from modern 'civilization' , anxiety and technology. Simple, peaceful work and earn with own hands. Greetings from Greece and thank you for your videos!
Same, I know at some point we might lose technology and many of us are reliant on it and take what we have for granted, many people will panic and riot if or when that happens, because we are too used to living in comfort that we don't appreciate what we have. Our ancestors had to struggle to live, they had to work hard for each day and it had meaning, now it feels like we're NPCs in a video game just going about each day as if we are programmed, we're existing but not truly living.
@@Hecata_Harbinger I couldn't agree more with what you wrote really two days ago i was talking about my colleague at work wondering how much craziness this world can stand and he asked me: what would you change for example and I said the internet must go. Thank you, Tom for taking us along on this journey to see Viking culture. One can see various aspects of Viking influence throughout European culture, West to East, North to South. This was due to expeditions, raids, and trading. Even here in North America, one can see traces of where Vikings settled or explored, from the East coast to the MidWest. Thanks, again.
Thank you so much Harry for your very interesting information 👍🏻😊 The Vikings definitely had a big influence on that time and there trading in all of Europe and North America is a part of their culture too 🇳🇴🔥 Tom
Indeed, Tom. History is valuable in understanding where we originated from, who we are currently, and what we hope to become in the future. It, along with bushcraft, are just a few of the lenses we view life through. In turn, this information shapes our journey forward, making life fascinating, yet so compelling. And we can still have fun!
We owe our forefathers a great deal of respect and honor and you showed them that with the time and effort you put into this beautiful video. My Great Grandfather emigrated from Norager and I hope to visit someday to look up my heritage. Thank you for the look into our past.
This is very relaxing. So refreshing to see something like this from Europe as usually I can only see old villages in Japan or China or other countries in Asia.
Tom that was the best most awesomeness wonderful movie I have ever watched. Thank you for all your hard work in putting this together. Thank you for sharing with us.

Tom, Thanks for taking the time to share a portion of your Norway holiday. Very nice video essay on the viking history you saw there. My family came to america from the area in Norway you visited. Delightful video Tom, showed the proud culture and history of the Vikings💪. I stay near Largs on the west coast of Scotland where there was a famous battle with the Vikings in 1263. The battle is still remembered every year with a festival in the town. Enjoyed the journey brother, Sláinte Mhath (pronounced Slanj-a-va)🍻🏴
Such wonderful villages! Very interesting. I really like the Viking vessel. Some of the building interiors remind me of your shelter. Very nice! A fascinating place to visit. You did a great job capturing the Viking culture.

Thank you for bringing us along to the different villages. I love being able to experience living history. I will probably never be able to personally walk through those villages, but you have put together a great video that I will remember as if I was able to walk with you. Happy trails.
Thank you for another very enjoyable video. I am glad that you share your life with us. My people’s ancestral land and long house village, looks similar to this. I am Gitszan from Canada’s North West Coast (near Alaska). Now I’m a little bit homesick!
Awesome 👍. That's all I can really say. And there were times when you showed some of the interiors that I thought it was the inside of your Cimbrer camp. You really have an eye for detail and like the old ways. Much like myself. Thanks again for another cool video.
Hello friend @Tom at @CimbrerBushcraft , That was a beautiful video Brother . And a beautiful village . Hello from Oklahoma! Thanks for the video! Very interesting and educational! Thanks for all you do. It is important to remember the past while looking to the future. God bless!
Greetings Tom, I must say, you knocked it out of the ball park with this video. Very well done. It;s amazing how they lived back then, very minimal and simple yet, they were fierce warriors in their own right. They lived a simple life and enjoyed good food from what I understand. Anxiously awaiting your next video.
Thank you so much Alex for your kind words 😁👍🏻 I’m glad you enjoyed it my friend and grateful that you came along and joined me on my visit to the 3 Viking villages in Norway 🇳🇴 Tom
Oh, my! Such a beautiful and artistic video - the architecture is amazing! Many of the decorations remind me of those I've seen in Central Asia. Viking life really came alive for me through your lens...I could almost feel the presence of those who walked the Earth there so long ago. Many many thanks for sharing this with us...one day, I hope to visit...and for now, I can live this presence through your wonderful videos.
I have just seen a roof shingle work that I have never seen before and it looks like you have to know where the weather comes from for it to work really well for rain to be shed off the roof properly.
Tom👍👍 Absolutely fantastic chronicle of Viking village planning, construction and ways of life👌 Beautiful filming and editing work, the music was magical and enlightening. An epic journey to past times and cultural remembrance brought to us by hand and modern technology😎 Your skills of observation are evident by the decor at Cimbrer camp lodge, like stepping back in history😉 Many thanks for this superbly done video my friend, very nice indeed. Thank you! I thought you might just pass over the fiber things. I'm a spinner and wanted to have a look at those things. So interesting! I use modern Viking combs to process wool and spindles for spinning. I enjoyed the boat and the blacksmithing tools too.

Thanks Troy for joining me on my visit to the Viking villages 😊👍🏻 Appreciate your kind and positive feedback very much 🇳🇴

I’m glad you enjoyed watching my video John 👍🏻😊 and happy that you came along buddy 🇳🇴

Appreciate your feedback my friend 👍🏻😊🔥🏕🇳🇴 Tom

Thank you! I thought you might just pass over the fiber things. I'm a spinner and wanted to have a look at those things. So interesting! I use modern Viking combs to process wool and spindles for spinning. I enjoyed the boat and the blacksmithing tools too.
I’m sorry for that Teri 🙂 but glad you enjoyed it anyway 👍🏻
It sounds great that your using the old techniques in your spinning … waw that’s wonderful. Hope to see you again on my next adventure 🇳🇴
Tom
Cimbrer Bushcraft no, it was wonderful! I could see the nalbinding pieces and I always enjoy looking at wool or yarn. You did a very balanced job.

Such a proud group of people, as they should have been. It must be and had been so hard to live in a colder environment in those harsh winters and yet such an beautiful landscape. The Vikings were not an lazy people , such hard working and proud of what they had around them. Most of us would die for an view but for me, the cold would be an issue. My bucket list is to visit your beautiful lands and treasure those wonderful moments of nature all around you.
