The weird „Zipper“ is a Poh snare. Its one of the newer sounds and he is one of the first beatboxer to make it clean.
It's not newer tho. Already found 2 or 3 years ago #cmiiw. And what's the meaning of "one of the first" ? Is not the first is just one person? Lol #nooffence. I thought given make it clean first at beatbox international shoutout (te mola and don't be lier)

I’m hugely inspired by heartzel and he also is the reason why o decided to learn the poh snare (that laser-like whistle that you referred to as a “zipper”). His routine really do sound like actual EDM tracks and his vocalized inward bass is so satisfying🔥🔥🔥I’m a sucker for anything throat bass-and house-music related too. I finally got the poh snare. 5 days it took me. I had the tongue and lip position right but I wasn't blowing the air in the right direction. You've gotta aim the air upwards just above the O shape and drop the jaw a bit. This wind sound that is produced is the foundation of the sound you then change the sound by opening and shutting your mouth. Hope this helps someone who had the same problem I did

I'm trying to learn to sing and came here from looking up subharmonic and vocal fry stuff lol. I think I might try some to learn some beatboxing as well because some of it is pretty cool. Also... This is completely unrelated to the whole beatboxing thing, but damn, the chart shown at 6:14 is possibly one of the most useful thing for anybody that's into mixing and EQing especially vocals. Been trying to improve my vocals for my mic and I'm probably gonna be referring to that chart a whole lot now, so thank you David :D

The zipper sound you were talking about is called the Poh Snare. It's a special snare sound the he uses pretty often.
A fire routine
The whistle is a tongue whistle, Colaps has a very nice tutorial on it, you change the sound of it by adjusting your lip position. Also i could be mistaken but the "zipper" sounds like a POH snare

If you want to hear the most satisfying inward bass you should listen to Dropicals Sbx Kickback Wildcard.
Also that "Zipper" is a poh snare and actually an outward sound.
