@@Seattle808 see I love both cars and I’ve done a tonne of research into what would be the better option and I honestly kinda wanted the civic to be the winner but the 2zz is slept on if you spend 10k on a K20 and 10k on a 2zz you get a 300bhp K20 and a 500bhp 2zz with the stroker engine upping the displacement to 2litres forged internals and a supercharger your money will go further with a celica and I think that’s purely because the civics are more popular so the parts are priced higher but more parts are available for the k series engines and eventually (with more money spent) you will get more power out of the K20 but then you’ve got to consider if spending that much money is worth it because the celica at that point (with a stripped interior, lightweight alloys and lighter seats) is a 500bhp per tonne car (I’ve seen this mostly on exiges with the 2zz cause obviously more lotus owners have that kind of money to spend) for the price of a good condition standard civic I’d rather have both but if I had to chose one I’d chose the celica, just as much fun cheaper to upgrade cheaper to replace the whole car plus a built engine and a supercharger than it is to replace or buy a civic and get it to the same standard
+MeAndMyBlueCar the guys driving are professional race car drivers that race for all the brands in japan so they would never go along with a show rigged for one brand, and I'm guessing that the other brands owners wouldn't be all that happy about their drivers doing such things either.
Hahaha! A celica friendly site was claiming it could beat a type r in a drag! LMAO!!!
it could on 5 gear and six.
DREAM CELICA GTS 2ZZ-GE what? 5 gear and 6? you mean it's faster in 5th and 6th gears?
i think this celica was an automatic, not sure if they came out manual in japan

Celica t-sport is better machine.2zz by Yamaha(vvtl-i) kicks harder than Hondas v-tec
15.8 seconds that's slower then the 138hp non gts Celica.
i call bullshit. this show is rigged for hondas. celica had a faster time in another best motoring video.
