    Great presentation. Very much appreciate the effort you put into preparing this presentation. I started selling on Amazon about 4 months ago. I was very much hoping for this business to succeed but did not. First, FBA fees took a large chunk of my gross sales. Second major expense is shipping from China. I even used shipping via sea. The best I could get was 10% gross margin, which only covered cost of item, shipping and FBA fees.
    I believe many sellers on Amazon are successful. I tried to figure out what I was doing wrong but no luck.

    Many of our clients are online sellers so we see first-hand that it's possible. Congrats to the Cohens!

    Question: I would like to hear more about how you deal with not "making yourself right." With partners, friend, and family (whose opinions you value, but may not be business people). Edit: I'll try to take it to the website. Greg, thank you for this!

    • @junglescout

      Can you further explain what you mean? :)

    • @anthonykent00
      @anthonykent00 6 років тому

      I don't know if you guys will see this.
      Q: As an entrepreneur we are forced to go with our gut, a lot. You create success by finding an opportunity, learning what you can, and jumping off the cliff - trusting yourself.
      I have people in my life whose opinions mean a lot to me. They are intelligent and successful in their own fields. Sometimes there is a significant amount of cognitive dissonance between the advice they give me and what I think is correct. But how can I separate the wheat from the chaff? Some of their ideas might be what takes that product to the next level or end up being the next product.

    Tbh it’s a stretch to say Austin is a lower cost of living than California at this point. These days the housing market rivals that of the most expensive cities in the U.S. No state taxes, but the local property taxes are brutal.

    Yes I love seeing fellow PLers living a lifestyle with their hard earned money. Nothing burns me up more than people telling you how hard they work on their business only to brag about being overly frugal. Like sickenly frugal. This couple is living a nice balanced life and I love it.

      Right? 🤩 These stories are great #Motivation for other #FreedomBuilders in the making! 🔥 How's your Amazon journey going so far? 💭

    • @yussefg7267

      Going on my 3rd year in FBA. Started out doing RA/OA, wholesale the typical route. Transitioned into PL last year when I sold my brick and mortar business. I have launched about 6 PL offerings to date. I have one trademarked and brand registry brand that I am working on in the baby category. I don't have what I would consider a "breakout" product yet. The first promising PL product I did have got banned by Amazon so I had to go back to the drawing board. I went to China last year to the Canton fair but did not know as much as I do now so I was looking with different eyes. Still a work in progress.

      I like having my own "brand." I'm creating intangible value by, hopefully, creating brand loyalty.
