I get my nails done at least 2 times a year and 5 times my toes, i just started to really order clothes online. I used to go to the salon each month but I haven’t been there for 2 years. When I go out to eat my boyfriend normally pays or we split it. I have been trying to save for my first luxury bag but it’s impossible, in my country the currency for USD went up like crazy. So it’s getting harder to save I have to save at least $2000 and that is srd 36000,00 in my countries currency 🤦🏽♀️.
I automatically put $150 in a separate account every payday and on my birthday in January..I purchased the big lux bag that I want... During the year I Dibble and dabble in preloved goods by selling my old bags. Love your channel!
I’m ashamed to say I always assumed you were wealthy and didn’t have to think about the cost of things. This makes you so much more relatable, and makes me feel more comfortable spending my money on luxury for myself, even though I too have to save up first x
You appear to be a hardworking gal and I think it’s fantastic that you save and provide for yourself on these luxury purchases. You should be very proud! What a great example you are setting for your daughter Skye. 👍
Good for you Amber explaining how you are able to purchase your luxury items. I also give myself an allowance and after several months will purchase a SLG. A lot of people assume you are wealthy so your honesty will attract more subscribers. Well done!😘
It’s true I started saving up and I just made a video of my dream bag it took me a year but I did it and I’m disabled and I’m on Social Security .. so if you want something I realized that you can save you can do it .. and I just made my purchase on a new LV and that’s my first purchased on a luxury goods .. tfs 💕💕
I am the same way , I save for them and don't rely on others to spoil me . . . I get questions all the time when I upload new items on my IG endlessly . I have to make sacrifices and also go through my closet to resell items that I no longer wear or use . I also save my coins too and take them to a local bank at the end of the year . I love that you also stash money away so you won't go overboard with purchases - this specifically helped me . I am the type that if I have money I will run off to the store . Thanks so much for sharing . I extremely enjoy your videos each time you upload .
Thanks for sharing! I come from a very similar background and don’t feel comfortable spending money from my husband and I’s shared account on luxury so I decided to set up a separate bank account this past year to save for a luxury bag and SLGs I had been eyeing for years. I sold items on Poshmark and FB Marketplace and was SHOCKED at how quickly the money added up. I was able to purchase 3 handbags and a handful of SLGs! Keeping a separate account for “fun money” is key!
Great video! I really enjoyed hearing your story and tips! Also, to add, I use cash back points from my credit cards. I treat my credit card like my debit card and pay it off each month. The points really add up.
Hello Amber thank you very much for your tips. This is a great video! I put some cash in an envelope it is only for food. Sometimes I need more money, but sometimes I have some left over and this money comes in an extra envelope for my handbag what I want. And I save every month money for my handbag what I want. It takes a while until I can buy the Louis Vuitton on the go in gm in empreinte leather in black, because it is very expensive. And I want to make a vaccation this year too. I think I can get it next year in the summer month. ❤
We do very similar things (minus the UA-cam channel side hustle). 😀 I have a BS in finance degree. I make sure to put away 19,500 in my 401k, 6k in a Roth IRA, save some money after that in my bank account, then put whatever I don’t need to use in an account for my luxury items. I absolutely agree with the most important tip: DO NOT GO IN DEBT BUYING LUXURY ITEMS. It’s not worth it girl. 😃I just sold a watch on Poshmark for $76 (after their fee). More money towards my next luxury wish list (Cartier or VCA).
Your great and agree with you. I do the same thing sell things that I doesnt thrill me anymore, shop for sales, sell art n craft items I make. Lately I go to resale places and find great things to resell.
Great tips. I don’t begrudge anybody what they buy with their own money. I know coupon and discount queens who dress to the nines. They save and strategize and sell things on Poshmark, etc., so enjoy!
I get extra from work with bonuses and overtime pay. I just use it for extra luxury purchases. I'm like you I am not into spending $250 for a t-shirt because it is a designer. I use several retailers on Ebates and buy mostly during big sales and cashback offers. I also invest and make additional income there as well. I set up different saving accounts for Christmas, miscellaneous, and vacation. The key is planning and setting goals.
I love that you talk about re-investing your UA-cam money into luxury! That is something I am keen to do as I grow my channel. I spent my December adsense on a Kate Spade bag which has become some great comparison content! Couldn't agree more about having a "side hustle".
love this video and your tips! As I'm a student I don't make a lot of money, but since I keep track of my spendings I am able to save a lot more money.
1st here Amber good morning I love your videos. Instead go to coin star I buy a dollar coin packs so I count them and save them until I have a bunch and take them to the bank I also always go to marshals, Nordstrom rack and find a lot of good prices so I can spend more in handbags Buy on sale clothes and shoes Try not spend on fast food during the week just on weekends
Honestly money adds up fast once you have a goal in 2019 I quit coffee and wine and started to cook at home Only with those small changes I’m able to buy luxury bags .
you seem very smart! i agree on your prioritizing; i hate myself when i spend money on eating out or other things i don't need. i save everything and make infrequent big purchases. hope my subscription gets you a new bag! lol
A way I save for a new bag .... When my birthday or Christmas comes around and I’m asked for ideas from my family, I let them know I’m saving for XX and I’d love $$ to put toward it. Of course I’d never tell my family to give me money, but if they ask it works out well.
At one time I was working 2 full time jobs, so the one check I just started collecting my Luxury bags. I’ve got everything from Coach to LV to Goyard to Chanel. I gave my Gucci bag to my 9 year old.
This was so super helpful! I love the cash allowance system! Not so much for groceries but for gas, nails, hair and extra cash gets stashed away for a purse or pay off a bill early. I love Rakuten for cash back! And I will check out some consignment stores-what a good idea-to get some money from my work wardrobe. Extra savings accounts are great too. I will say that I will put luxe items on my cc but I will pay it the next day so it’s like it doesn’t even hit. I just like the peace of mind I have paying with a cc versus a debit card. Thank you so much for new tips and ideas!
It’s good to get to know you Amber. I’m a finance girl with a teacher mom too and I have the same IKEA PAX in brown after multiple quotes from California closets and closet by design too🤣 also same thing with hubby 🙌🏽. Thanks for sharing this I feel less guilty about my splurges now and I’m definitely inspired to save on things that don’t make me as happy
I have a Poshmark store and I've made enough to get a Chanel Jumbo flap! Ca$h. Don't put on credit cards, people. Be disciplined and stay strong. You can do it. You'll smile so hard watching your gorgeous bag be handed to you knowing you don't owe a credit card for it. =) All of your tips are spot on, Amber. 👍
Love your suggestions. I actually just started a piggy bank(literally yesterday) to save for my bday in April. Hopefully I can save enough to spoil myself(dreaming of the palm springs mini).🤞😁 Hubby and I share accounts so I want to make sure only random change goes in the piggy bank LOL 😅 seperate from our savings accounts.
I reduced my spending on going out to eat and it has payed off. I also keep my credit cards in check. I only spend 30 to40 of my credit line, because my limit is a high amount. When l purchase bags l don’t go over my percentage. I work hard and l deserve it and so do you guys as well! Great video and advice❤️

If you have a Discover card, in July you get 5% back on PayPal purchases . The last 2 years I planned to make a bag purchase and got back $75 which is the max. I think this year I will get the NF in Damier Ebene with Rose Ballerine. I also put away any singles I get . This was a tip I got from UA-cam and was amazed at how quickly I saved up $. It entices me to pay cash and then I keep the $1 bills when I get them.
This is great, thank you! My issue is when I see a great “deal” on Poshmark or another site. I’ll see a gently used LV item, for example, and it’s half of what it is retail. So I rationalize it in my head. I’ve gotten better but it’s hard to be disciplined. I think being home during the Pandemic has also made it more difficult bc many of us have cabin fever and so I just browse online 🙈
I am a new subscriber to your channel so I’m playing catch up😃. This was a great video. I do the same thing when it comes to cutting back on other things so I can afford to purchase luxury items. My favorite tip you made was to have money put into a different account from your check. I’ll be doing that tomorrow.😊
I have an accounting background & I do a lot of the same things, I do my own nails & waxing, I don’t need to colour my hair, I don’t wear a lot of makeup, I stick to a minimalist skincare routine that works, I mostly eat home cooked meals & I only drink water. People don’t realise how much everything adds up, even their morning coffee over a full year is a lot of money. My father & I bought my mother a necklace from Tiffany & Co using the coins we had both saved up for the year.

I sold a few things on Poshmark and made enough money to buy my LV nano speedy 😊
I’m trying to do the same for my first Chanel bag!
