    ““Don’t think that I have come to abolish the Torah or the Prophets. I have come not to abolish but to complete. Yes indeed! I tell you that until heaven and earth pass away, not so much as a yud or a stroke will pass from the Torah - not until everything that must happen has happened. So whoever disobeys the least of these mitzvot and teaches others to do so will be called the least in the Kingdom of Heaven. But whoever obeys them and so teaches will be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven. For I tell you that unless your righteousness is far greater than that of the Torah-teachers and P’rushim, you will certainly not enter the Kingdom of Heaven!”

    I am a bit confused.
    * circumcision is law (Gal 5,3)
    * sin is lawlessnes (1.John 3,4)
    * I should repent (Mk 1,15) and
    * the fruit of repention should be visible (Mt 3,8)
    This appears to tell me that I should get circumcised to show that I truely repent. But...
    * If I get circumcised, Christ will not help me (Gal 5,2)
    How do I repent from not being circumcised if not through circumcision?

      I have a few solution ideas... but all seem far fetched and wrong:
      1) John might be refering to the law of the nation you are living in. (but why wouldnt he say so?)
      2) John might be refering to the 10 commandments and not the full law. (but why wouldnt he say so?)
      3) Christ will "not help" because if I was without sin I wouldn't need him anyway. (but Paul knows that there are no people without sin)
      4) Repention might not not mean to never sin again but rather to hate sin. (but then, why not get circumcised?)
      5) Circumcision is just meant for israelites. (but that would mean the whole law is for israelites)
      6) God might not consider the act of sinning as sin as long you believe in Jesus. (but then why the repention?)

      @@Quisl I hope I am not misunderstanding your confusion, but perhaps the statement "repent from not being circumcised" is ill-founded. Nobody needs to repent for not being circumcised. Being circumcised is a good thing, but not necessary for salvation. If it were necessary for salvation, we would be relying on works (law) AND Jesus (grace), not ONLY Jesus (grace).

      @@Quislplease re read 1 John chapter 3. Pay close attention to verse 5.
      5 And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.
      Once you have repented of your sins and accepted Jesus as you Lord and Savior, your sins are forgiven and you’re not under the law. That’s why it says in Him there is no sin.
      Absolutely no one can keep the whole law and to break one is break them all. The law can not bring salvation only Jesus can.
      The fruit of your repentance will show because you are a new creation in Christ. You’ll walk by faith and not by sight. Walk in the spirit, not in the flesh and so on.

    His teaching is the typical false replacement theology teaching, removed from its Hebrew context.

      Which part? I didn’t hear anything false.

    • @Benmelech
      @Benmelech 7 місяців тому

      @@randym2062 Respectfully, it is because nominal Christians have been indoctrinated, understanding scriptures from a Greek perspective instead of from- a Hebrew perspective, (Pauls teaching in Romans 11, Gentiles can be GRAFTED INTO Israel and Acts 15:21 , Gentiles will be in a synagogue hearing the teachings of Moses) such as wa the first four century Christians. Historically, faithful Christians remained “Jewish “until the fourth century. Constantine, completely eradicated the faith beginning with establishing his pagan sun god, Sol Invictus as the day of worship camouflaged by Messiah’s Resurrection. He also mandated, death to seventh day sabbath keepers. It’s all in historic records for anyone that “has eyes to see”.🙏 For the past 33 years it has worked for me and it will work for anyone who wants to be prompted by the Holy Spirit.♥️🥺

      Pastor Guzik very much speaks AGAINST replacement theology. Calvary Chapel not only doesn’t adhere to replacement theology but they speak out against it.
