    Truly love my Sony ZV-E10. The rolling shutter was the least of my concern. I had a budget that of $2K for my UA-cam channel. So I bought two ZV-E10’s and got the Sigma trio 1.4 lenses which all together came to $2,100. It does everything I need and much more. Having two cameras is soooooo much more helpful than having one.

Thanks.

      @@PradeepKumar-tq4ev I like all 3 equally and the image quality corner to corner are excellent. I use my 16mm (24mm equivalent due to the 1.5x crop) the most for my UA-cam channel. If I wasn’t doing UA-cam videos I would probably get the 30mm since it’s the cheapest of the 3 lenses and it’s the most versatile focal length.

    The FX-30 is a great deal and a good recommendation, since it has the option to have a handle with XLR inputs, something no other camera on this list can do. On the other hand the 3000$+ lineup feels a bit underwhelming since it offers marginal improvements over the semi-pro counterpart for twice the investment. For all that money, companies could include some features professionals need such as XLR inputs on the body, SDI out and built-in ND filters.

    Hey Pascal, nice video. I'm guessing you were differentiating between "video" and Film/Cinema cameras. Only reason I make that comment is BMPCC 4K and 6K/G2/Pro were omitted and are insanely good value with arguably better image quality and colour science than most if not all cameras listed. Just curious why cameras like that weren''t included?

    I've spent all day watching videos on the best 4k cameras for live streaming, and I just need some help.
    My plan is to use it mostly for low light situations at my event space, but also for a conference video and zoom calls. Not very much for filming and pictures.
    Somethings I would like it to include:
    • HDMI or micro HDMI video out with at least 4k at 60fps. I've noticed lots of cameras can film at 4k and up, but their hdmi out is only 1080p.
    • HDR 10 or close.
    • Good image in low light. I plan on streaming live music and dj sets, and would like it to look pretty good in those conditions.
    I'd like to keep it under $2000, but I also want a mid tier camera that still going to be decent in 5 years, so any suggestions under $4000 are welcome. I'm currently leaning towards the Sony FX30.
    Hopefully some of you camera nerds can point this audio nerd in the right direction. Thanks!

    The biggest downside to top tier sony cameras is the cost of memory - Tough cfexpress A cards are insanly expensive in comparison to CFexpress cards B for Fuji and Canon. So this is one of the hidden costs nobody talks about when you are starting out with new camera system. Canon and Fuji looses with affordable lens choice, where Sony has a win. So there is always compromise.

    UPDATE: The Panasonic S5 ii ( geni.us/IhAOCQj * ) just got released, which comes at $1999 and is very similar to the a7iv plus some extras, such as waveform monitoring etc. A concern with Panasonic in the past has always been autofocus. Luckily, they added phase detect autofocus to the S5 ii, which makes the autofocus finally reliable. According to reviews, it’s still not on the level of Sony and Canon, but very usable. So if you want to save some money compared to the a7iv or you're looking for a great full-frame camera below $2000, check out the Pansonic S5ii.
    UPDATE 2: Canon announced the R8, which is essentially the same as an R6ii, but without IBIS. Considering that most RF lenses have optical stabilization and the EIS works in conjunction with that, that's actually the best camera body at $1499. I will personally get one as my studio cam and do a review about it as soon as I get it. 4K60 oversampled and full frame for that price is just too good not to buy it ;-)
    UPDATE 3: Fujifilm released the X-S20 (geni.us/pCoK), which offers 10bit 4K60, IBIS, and Film Simulations and a super small and lightweight body at only $1299! I made a full review of this camera. You'll find it on my channel. It's the camera I can't recommend enough. Best bang for the buck!

      Honestly, after watching all the reviews I'd rather say - "Definitely better than Canon and not far behind Sony".
      Just a reminder that this is Panasonic's first implementation of PDAF. Also S5II firmware is still in beta stage. Wroth to mention that they'll have enough time to perfect software as well as hardware before S5IIx hits the market in may. S&C will both have really hard time competing with Panasonic in this price range 😎

    FHD 100p (don't care about 4k or even 120p for now)
    IBIS or no crop DIS
    Good autofocus
    No rolling shutter issues (global shutter preferred)
    Decent lens choices (I really just care about not exorbitantly priced anamorphic availability bigger than 1.33x)
    Able to record full sensor/in other formats than 16:9
    Don't care if it's video only or hybrid
    Don't care if it's a new/modern camera or an older design. I'm okay buying used, too.
    I'm okay with needing firmware/software hacks to get this functionality, as long as said hacks actually exist and don't have a huge chance to brick my camera

    You have smooth 24p footage. I've come across a lot of jittery 24p footage where I KNOW the person is using the correct shutter speed, and as such, it is not a factor in the appearance. Would you please be so kind as to give me an exhaustively detailed breakdown of your entire recording, editing, exporting, and uploading chain? Exact camera, settings, codecs, bit rate, editing software and timeline setup, what you do in the editing, exporting file type and codec, and upload to youtube settings? ((And anything else I missed that you can think of))
    I need to know from someone who is doing it right so that I don't make the mistakes others are making. The most annoying thing is jittery 24p footage.

    zv-e10, still best budget camera 2023. Sony's product design generally are thought through better than Canon, and certainly the rest of the market. Each of zv-e10, zv-e1, fx30, a7iv, FX3, a7siii etc. are somehow just a bit better than the competition in each of the segment they target. I came to appreciate this more, as I use them, and then just realize it somehow made more correct tradeoff choices than the competition.

    I was confused by the R5 information. The R5 (and now R6 II) have the fastest readout of any non stacked sensor and have slightly lower rolling shutter than the A7SIII. Also for low light, the R5 is cleaner than the A7SIII up to ISO 12800. The A7SIII only becomes cleaner at 12800 and above when the dual base ISO kicks in.

    • @pascalbasel
      @pascalbasel  Рік тому +3

      The rolling shutter is better on the a7Siii. I used this camera for over a year and know it in an out. True R5 is cleaner below 12800 but considering that the a7Siii performs better at 12800 makes it the better low light camera.

    • @Angelo_Paduraru
      @Angelo_Paduraru Рік тому

      @@pascalbaselecause people rarely will use above 12800 iso on a camera, R5 is a better low light camera than Sony. I remember when I needed 12800 iso was only one time in 2,5 years, and that was to a music video in the middle of the night, in a dark forest. But normally, weddings, music videos, and general filmmaking you don’t need that high iso if use fast lenses and of course lighting.
