Post moved to Utah after living in Hollywood for a while. He never really liked Hollywood due to the culture there. It's constant work, pressure, and expectations (not to mention the drug culture, post stopped doing drugs some time ago). He also criticized networking/friendship there, said no one *really* cared about you, they just wondered how they could use you to make money (by collaborating and such). So now he lives in Utah with his fiancee and daughter, mostly ignoring social media, and just doing what he wants. It's pretty nice

This song is about how these musicians sell their soul to be who they are with all the fame. And when he is talking about “you never took the time to get to know me, we’re scared of losing something we never found” he is talking about God and how all these people want to be close with him but fear that he doesn’t want them because of the things they do and who they choose to be. It turns into a different song when you listen to it that way instead of thinking of it as a relationship song. This song is a cry for help to get out.
