If a movie had John Wayne in it, you knew who the winners were from the start. Best John Wayne film (for me) was, "Island in the Sky". Then "The High and the Mighty". Both films had an aviation theme, pre commercial jets.
Always enjoy his films. I haven't seen, "THE CONQEUER," ( sp.) which he even called a mistake. Which is nice to know that the guy even though he was a star, he should have left that script on the shelf. I wish we had had him with us longer. Could have used some more great movies.

Pretty expensive neighborhood for AF base housing but distance to the base was close and to Madrid even closer, but without the Metro system. Saw the home once or twice from the outside...impressive. Been to the home in western Iowa also. And have seen the pretty much hidden statue at John Wayne Airport in Anaheim. The man was seriously influential in Hollywood and politics and he had his opinions and detractors but he pretty much built Anaheim. Big fan no matter the faults.
@Hello there, how are you doing this blessed day?
John Wayne, a man's man
I really like the narrator's voice.
Sadly so many younger people don't even know of John Wayne. Such is life.
The Wayne family can populate a village all by themselves.
John Wayne - not just western films.
To clarify: Ethan Wayne was in a slasher film "Scream" (1981) but not THE slasher film "Scream" (1996).
One of John children was on You Bet Your Life. R.I.P John.😊❤
If a movie had John Wayne in it, you knew who the winners were from the start.
Best John Wayne film (for me) was, "Island in the Sky". Then "The High and the Mighty". Both films had an aviation theme, pre commercial jets.
John Wayne was in the "Shootist", but cancer won that round.
Comancheros, Apache, Rio Bravo are the best 3 I can remember now.I was very young then.
I love his SC cap in the last picture....
Duke sure had allot of grand children.
hes my dad favorite actor
My great grandpa was a brother to John Wayne.I will never forget my grandmother telling me.
Awesome video, thank you.
Film sometime can tell you how a person was in real life as a parent. So as you can see John Wayne was not only a good actor but a good dad.
Bad dad. Very bad dad
I agree he must have been a good Dad. No stories of his kids on drugs and none of them appeared to be estranged from him.
❤❤😅
Love that picture of Raquel Welch....Wow!😊😊😊
I am big fans of him 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😢😮😮😮😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
John Wayne is an American icon. Emblematic and indicative that he now considered canceled
So true, but as evidenced by all the comments he isn't canceled and never will be. Only by the media.
As a actor
John Wayne is my hero
He was and always be to me AMERICA 🇺🇸
For good or bad he’s the Goat
Pongo❤
Always enjoy his films. I haven't seen, "THE CONQEUER," ( sp.) which he even called a mistake. Which is nice to know that the guy even though he was a star, he should have left that script on the shelf. I wish we had had him with us longer. Could have used some more great movies.
Always was a John Wayne fan.
Had a great, successful family.
It wouldn't matter what John Wayne things about American today if he was still here. This is God's world God's county We. American's need to take better care of this world cause it matters to God.👃🙏🙌
SAMMY DAVIS JR. was very
