Hey Jesus - thanks so much for posting this. Got it done the first time thanks to your walkthrough. - Nissan said they charge $67.50 for labor (the bulb at Nissan was $3.10) so NO WAY did I have that kind of money to give them. So, your video was really valuable to me - Thanks again - Tom - Sacramento, CA
Tom F that's awesome! I remember when I'm posted this video I did it for that very same reason because Nissan wanted to charge me an arm and a leg so I actually went online because I couldn't find anything at the time on UA-cam and that's why I decided to go ahead and make this video. I'm glad it helped have a great day!!
Tom F I can see why they do though. I recently changed a bulb and it was a pain in the ASS to get those screws out! I want to change the reverse lights to LED but I can't go through that again
Thanks for the video. My Nissan dealer wanted 45 dollars to replace my right brake light. And that's without the tax included. After watching your video, I did it myself. Thanks again!!!
Thanks for the video! Just replaced tail light assembly on ,y wife's 2012 Altima. Took 15 minutes and thanks to this video I am pretty sure I didn't break anything! Thanks again @Jesus Salas.
Thanks for the video. I looked through dozens of so called help articles and videos and no one showed how to do it from beginning to end. You showed all the little things that needed to be done that no one else did. Thanks again. Saved me $$$ from taking it to Nissan.
Just wanted to thank you for the video. I thought I could figure out how to replace my brake light bulb by myself, but after taking a look inside the trunk, I had no idea how to go about it until I saw your video. It turned out to be pretty easy after watching your video. Thanks again.
Haha, I heard this joke one time, it was this guy talking in the behalf for all husbands. He said ladies if your husband says he's going to fix it, that means he will. We don't need you to remind us the following month. Lol... Do you get it?
I'm really glad I watched your video before trying to change the bulb on my Altima! I definitely would have broken those clips if wasn't for your video. Thanks!!
Thanks for posting this video. One of my brake lights went out, and I was going to get it replaced when I got my oil changed, but they couldn't figure out how! So I watched your video, got the light, and did it myself in under ten minutes!
Awesome video!! Thanks!!! Had some trouble pulling up my light assemblies after removing the nuts, but got it work after wiggling it about. Nuts are 8mm. Someone had asked.
One more satisfied viewer. Perfect. Taillight assembly was cracked, found a salvaged one for $50, followed your instructions...and in 30 minutes.....on the road again. Garage would have charge over $200
It’s people like you that make UA-cam so great. You saved me a lot of time and you guided me through the whole process so I didn’t damage any plastic screws or anything. You provided real value
Thanks for the video bro... My lights have been out for a while and I have been too lazy to change them because I didn't know how. But your video is very informative and helpful. Thanks again👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
Thanks for video. I have an 09 Altima with cargo net pins they basically came out the same. They are larger but work under same principle. Changed break light bulb fast. Thanks again God bless
Brought my brand new Tacoma to dealership for routine maintenance and oil change. The mechinic advised me there was some corrosion on battery terminal post. I thought he was going to tell me he brushed it off. No, he wanted to charge me! I laughed and said I paid over $25,000 for the truck less than a year ago, and you couldn't do that for free. Thanks for helping me change light assembly (cracked) on wife's nissan. Dealership quoted me over $200.00. Got the light on ebay ($59.95) and did it my self.
Good suggestion while all that is open is get a can Of Rust Cheque and sprayunder the carpet a light coating as it will rust badly when the car gets older and the nuts will be harder too remove.
Same thing happened to me, some bonehead backed into my 2009 Altima Hybrid while I was Christmas Shopping - No Note Left . (Merry Christmas) Found a new one on Amazon for $60 - Now it's time to replace it. Looks easy enough. Thanks for the tip
Excellent job. Most people start filming with the pins already removed; thanks for showing the pin removal so that I don't break them. Good explanations during the video.
Awesome dude! I'm no mechanic, but that was great! I was concerned as to how to remove the clips to get the carpet out of the way without breaking them. Thanks for the help!
