I wasn’t sure about the four schools of thought before but after going through those lectures and watching some other scholars I firmly believe that Imam ahmad concept and usool are more close to Quran and sunnah. I am not saying that others are wrong but as a Muslim we have this freedom and one has to be honest to seek it for the purpose of learning the Deen and not seeking easy way outs.
the most important thing is that you are a Muslim on some issues i agree with hanbalis on some issues i agree with hanafis. i dont limit my self to a certain school as if the school was a religion by itself

That is strange If my sin was love for the family of Muhammad PBUH, then that is a sin for which I do not repent. It was quoted in “Rishfa Al-Sadi p. 24” on the authority of Imam Al-Shafi’i as saying: و لَمّا رأيت الناس قد ذهبت بهم مَذاهبهم في أبحُرِ الغَيِّ و الجَهْلِ ركبتُ على اسم اللّه في سُفن النجا و هم أهْل بيْت المصطفى خاتم الرُسلِ وأمسكتُ حَبلَ اللّه و هو ولائهم كما قد أُمرنا بالتمسُّكِ بِالحَبلِ And when I saw the people, taken by their sects in the seas of rebellion and ignorance. I remember listening to a Deobandi shaykh explaining "Hanafi usool." And what he explained matches exactly what Ustadh Omar had to say about HANBALI usool. Modern"Hanafis" really are a bit of a joke...
We all are ("مقصرين") incomplete in the deen. It's not just one group or another. If we were better than our situation would be better. May Allah swt guide us and protect us all.

Being a Hambali , this shaikh Omer mentions Rahimullah everytime he mentions the name of imam Ahmad.. but he didnt do it with the other Imams each time he mentioned them... well that says it all

It's not a competition between the 4 imams. They all respected each other, and so should we
Oh dear lord😒 You missed the whole point of the lecture. These were all great men, loved by ALLAH. Who cares if Omar did that and who he favors?

No, all the 4 great imams have their own parts/lectures and Shaykh Omar mentions Rehimullah everytime the subject Imams are spoken of. Masyaallah.
I remember listening to a Deobandi shaykh explaining "Hanafi usool." And what he explained matches exactly what Ustadh Omar had to say about HANBALI usool. Modern"Hanafis" really are a bit of a joke...

We all are ("مقصرين") incomplete in the deen. It's not just one group or another. If we were better than our situation would be better. May Allah swt guide us and protect us all.
