Pretty much how it is in Japanese, they have their own word for god/spirit, which is 神 (Kami); a concept very different from what monotheistic religions think of God; and in the Japanese translations of the Bible, the word for God is also Kami, which is understandable as the word "god" even in English, also refers and is etymologically related to deity, not to "capital-G God", which isn't a thing at all not even in the Torah when it was first written, with the word used there being אלוהים (Elohim), which also refers to deity/deities. I think it's funny how there really is no reason whatsoever for the concept of "capital-G God" to have even existed, when it's nowhere to be found in the original text, "God" is not the name of the Hebrew god, his name is Yahweh, and as we can read in Genesis 2, it is used alongside god. As seen on 2:5 וְכֹל שִׂיחַ הַשָּׂדֶה, טֶרֶם יִהְיֶה בָאָרֶץ, וְכָל-עֵשֶׂב הַשָּׂדֶה, טֶרֶם יִצְמָח: כִּי לֹא הִמְטִיר > יְהוָה אֱלֹהִים < , עַל-הָאָרֶץ, וְאָדָם אַיִן, לַעֲבֹד אֶת-הָאֲדָמָה. יְהוָה אֱלֹהִים lit. when "Allah", which means THE God, is the only word for God, what does "Ilah" (=God) mean?Is there some grammatical necessity to use "Allah" ?
Some people say that Ilah is the generic word for "god," whereas "Allah" is a specific god.
It is "the God". Al means "the". Arabs used the word "Al-Ilah" but it changed to "Allah" as it sounds easier.
