Mine arrived yesterday...love it
I've had one since launch, love the 200 series for the amount of options you get while still remaining pretty easy to use. I didn't think the spring reverb was great and agree on the shimmer, it needed to be tamed quite a bit to make it usable but overall, great reverb pedal.
I have not tried the RV-200, but have the RV-500. Lots of combinations available, especially in the A/B/Simul mode. A choice of two delays that can be combined with reverb in a preset. I use it with a Stomp for a small, but killer rig.
Slowverb is lovely, and Modulate is so elegant; easily the most compelling features of the RVV200. The inclusion of Delay is brilliant, too. I'm headed out to pick one up.
I have the Boss GX100. It is unbelievably great for the price. However, the reverbs are mid. So i use an Eventide h90 for everything the Boss won't do.
Boss RV200...Great pedal..... I currently use Eventide's Black Hole BUT I'm in love with Poly Verb.
The Boss RV 6 has a nice Mod Reverb algorithm and a nice hidden Reverb on the Shimmer mode with one of the parameter knobs rolled back fully. I don't think that I will need to upgrade to this 200 pedal. I do have the DD 200 however.

It drives me insane that these reverb algorithms aren’t in their “flagship”. Getting hard to even call it that when it doesn’t include so many of their best digital effects like these verbs, OC-5 ‘lowest’ mode, Dimension Chorus, a looper even half as good as Fractal/Helix/Neural, freeze pedal effect from the ME-90…
I could go on.
We'd be happy to pay more for everything in one unit, Boss!
Second comment: Whe is Boss going to release their next flagship moddler?!!
they need to take a leaf out of Line6's book and update what they have already
The gx100 is pretty awesome already. I feel like they could just update it like line 6 does with its current models. More amps, more effects, more cabs etc...
I have been using the GT-1000 as my main live rig for the past years and while it works great I do really wish they would change some things like the way IRs work and the overall workflow of the unit, as well as updating the amp/effects models. While the unit feels great to play and has a great form factor, it could use an update in other departments
Can you use the +delay along with one of the reverbs? That would be a game changer. If not, what's the "+" about?
It has a reverb on it. It’s a mode that’s reverb and delay.
Unfortunately no you can’t combine that reverb+delay with another mode.
Is this true stereo? Cause i have the DD 200 and it is not. (No ping pong delay, no true stereo)

Who makes your favorite shimmer verb?
For me, the Mr. Black Eterna Gold is really hard to beat in terms of shimmer!
even the boss rv6 is a competitor to strymon in my opinion. great sounds
RV6 is great and has everything I actually use
I also really like the RV-6 but not every mode equally.

I prefer the boss 500 series over the big strymon stuff.
My DD-500 is Killer = an entire Toolbox of Any Delay you could ever need and Tweak-ability to the eeeenth-degree if needed.
as long as it's not a "game changer".. i will stick with strymon~
Just about anything is better than a Strymon. Overpriced, overly complicated controls, mid sounds. Traded my El Cap for an Ibanez DE7 that I’ve had for several years now.
