    I had to sell my warmoth strat many years ago. Needed the money. Always missed that guitar. 11 years after selling it I watched a video on UA-cam of a guy playing it. Knew right away it was mine. Contacted him, he sold it to his music student. Long story short I got a hold of the student and ended up getting it back. I live in the U.S. that guitar ended up in Columbia South America. I haven't put it down since. In all of those years nothing was ever changed on that guitar. I've made a video 2 years ago telling that story. It is the blue Strat in my videos. Still a great guitar and now has a great story

    Tony from up the road is actually currently sat down polishing frets after having a go at crowning them a bit more from the refret I had done a couple of months ago. I had stainless steel frets put in exactly for this reason - so that I could continue playing my Strat as my number 1 without worrying that it was going to wear out. It has needed a bit of remedial work doing to it since though as the refret pulled some of the lacquer up on the maple board. Definitely a bit of nerves required to do major work on your favourite guitar

    That one blue Springfield has done more for K-Line guitars than any other guitar they have ever made. Chris Kroenline should be sending you free guitars and putting you on his website as a “featured artist”. Maybe even a JNC Signature K-Line Springfield (in blue, of course).

    That green tint on your guitar frets? That’s verdigris - a sign of corrosion. This happens when fretwire made from a blend of copper, zinc, and nickel meet air and moisture over time. Verdigris is a telltale sign that corrosion has set in for guitar frets. 👍❤️🎸🎶✌️

  • @chrisgmurray3622
    @chrisgmurray3622 12 днів тому

    I actually like the yellow "strat" more. It does sound more like a traditional strat with a subtle after taste of brightness to it ; maybe it is the pickups. The blue strat sounds smoother and fuller ( at least on the neck pickup), but also a little darker, which could explain why it deals well with the bright sharp modeling sounds, and the overdriven tones that strats sometimes make a but fizzy. The blue is probably more versatile fromday to day, but something about the yellow sounds more of the "strattiness" in a Fender authentic way. The only thing I don't like is the yellow colour! Fine differences ,but both sound good. My strat is a 57 reissue, and feels and sounds chirpy and resonant. I bought it without plugging it in because someone had put white EMG's on it and I was going to replace them. When I plugged it in it was ( obviously) quiet ( pickups) but seemed to be the siund of the guitar acoustically but just louder ; in other words the pickups just added to rather than obscured the natural sound of the guitar, and for 35 years I haven't changed them. The only thing I don't like with the active pickups,is that the envelope of the sound always sounds the same no matter how you pick it, whereas passive pickups would be a little mire expressive. The frets are worn away to nothing, and it is still playable ( just), but I still haven't got around to having the neck refretted. I don't know if another of the same model would sound the same or not, but I will never fall out of love with that guitar. The only other one I just loved at first touch, was my okd Guild D40, but unfortunately it is ( literally) falling apart ( twice broken neck, and crazed cracking on the soundboard) so until I get some more money together, I can't get that fixed either. One thing is for sure, when you absolutely love a guitar, you can't doubt your judgement,and should have faith in your original feeling for it.
