How to Play Audio Out of the Daisy (DaisyDuino)

- Let's learn how to connect an audio jack to the Daisy Seed and play an oscillator tone! We'll also input audio from an external hardware synth. For this tutorial, we'll be using the Arduino IDE and the DaisyDuino library.

Electrosmith Daisy Seed
HE'S ALIVE. Wow. Welcome back.
Thank you for the wait! We'll be making more videos this year!
@@electrosmithco I am CERTAINLY looking forward to this as well!!
@@bicicogito989 These supportive comments are making us even more excited to work on this series! Thanks!!
I’m very excited to watch this series, thank you for making this hobby so accessible :)
Yes!! I hope you enjoy following along to future videos too!
Thank you for opening a new door for me, I am very excited about PD and how to work with Daisy and Electrosmith! Keep on doing this great work...I just installed PD and start with your tutorials 👍
We hope you enjoy your new Daisy journey!! :D
I'm following this series
Glad to hear that!! We're going to start writing the script for the potentiometer video this week!
Cannot wait !!
@@PolinaZakh Just finished the first draft! Planning on filming next week :)
ive been looking for something like this for ages, hope to find time to get into this soon thanks for these tutorials!
Happy to provide these tutorials! And we hope you find the time soon!
Excited for this, and really appreciate the fundamentals… this has me excited to get back to tinkering with my Seed!
That's awesome to hear!! We're glad that this video inspired you to resume your Daisy journey. Thank you for watching!
Loving all of these videos, having a lot of fun with my own daisy! Would you consider doing a video about digital audio output instead of analogue? I know that it has SAI but have no idea how to get it to work at the moment. Thanks!
Glad to hear that you're having fun with your Daisy!!
We can look into if digital audio output is possible with DaisyDuino! Thank you for the suggestion :)
So useful! 🙇♂, really liked that the video was separated into electronics and software, the first being the most difficult to me.
We put extra care for that electronics section, so we're glad to hear that!! Thank you for letting us know!
I would love to see a video about dsp sound generation!
Yes!!
I absolutely ‘love’ your content ❤
Thank you so much!! :)
would love to see some more tutorials and info on using displays with daisy
YES, I have been wanting to make tutorials on OLED for sure! It might be a bit while from now, so I greatly appreciate the wait.
With DaisyDuino, there should be an external library for the OLED that you get, so I recommend starting from there.
One humble request.. it would be great to see how you would make this oscillator a VCO, especially in Pure Data. Being able to run a sequence into the oscillator (using control voltage) would be amazing.
VCO tutorial would be a really fun video to make! Will definitely keep that in mind. If you want to get a head start, please feel free to join the Discord and/or forum.
Hello! Tell me pls, can i implement any form of built-in samples by storing them in built-in memory of daisy seed?
Great series! Are there any Europe
dealers selling Daisy Seed?
Thank you! And yes, you can go to the "Dealers" section on our website.
Would one be able to pass audio through the daisy ( line in - USB out ) without effects ? In effect use it like an interface
From my understanding, USB audio is not a feature with the Daisy, but I think we are adding it in the future if I remember correctly.
if I'm using arduino ide, what board do I select before I compile and/or upload? I see Generic STM32H7 Series in this video but I don't see it in my IDE. I also don't see any daisy seed devices popping up
The first video in the series should explain all that

@@electrosmithco thanks!
@@georgeshields9672 Of course!
Is it possible to use DSP on a normal stm32? I really want to try it but it just cost too much on shipping...
You can reach out to us about other shipping option via email, thanks!
I’m getting an error : no debug probe detected.
Failed uploading : uploading error : exit status 1
Any help on this would be great….without using the ST LINK-V3 MINI Debugger
My daisy is in boot loader mode after pressing boot/reset in the proper order.
Thanks in advance
Now I’m getting Failed uploading: uploading error:exit status 1
@@youbobbotube Hello! Did the first video of the DaisyDuino series work for you?
ua-cam.com/video/UyQWK8JFTps/v-deo.html
Yes….and now trying to fix my problem with zadig I’ve somehow removed my audio interface. 😢
I am discouraged to say the least. Can’t do anything with my studio.
Could you recommend a store in Toronto ON Canada where I could take my laptop to fix this problem?
And maybe get the daisy seed to function also.
OK..fixed my audio interface. Just the daisy seeds again. Replaced the cable to be sure.
