  • In this edition of Change My Mind, Steven Crowder heads to the University of North Texas (aka the Harvard of Denton County) to see what students think about biological males competing in women's sports. In the next installment of this contentious issue, Crowder sits down with someone who identifies as a "white male" and someone who identifies as a "f***ing idiot." Find out who attempted the best arguments.

It is astonishing how such a simple truth has been utterly smashed and disregarded.
Women athletes want to win just as much as any male athlete.
Many have inferred that women should just enjoy participating and shouldn't concern themselves with such ridiculous ideas like winning. What utter tosh!
Women's sport can only be fair and meaningful if that 'fairness' is clearly understood and respected.
These debaters have dispensed with the ideas of fairness and competitiveness altogether.

Their livelihood, the sport they've sacrificed their lives for, is being threatened from them over this in more ways than one, and they're barely adults being thrust onto a precipice that decides the history of sports. Can't blame them for keeping quiet, but claiming no one's asking how they feel is ignorance and literally not keeping tabs on the story.

In a sense of just my and your opinion, I think OP and your opinion of just a bit of touch and it is about winning is 100 percent correct. What also real is the fact feminist demand borderless equal treatment. In this world, you can't just put things into perspective of your own opinion, it needs to be matched by the other gender's perspective demand, which in this case quite childish IMO, because apparently female wants equal with male, but at the same time demand that they are woman when they can't compete with the so called "fake woman"? How many female athletes would pursue a career in athletics knowing that any middling male athlete could simply switch divisions (after failing to be competitive in the male division) and beat them without much effort? Answer: not many.

Also even if both parents do not want child there is adoptation that leaves child choice to live, and other people who cannot have child adopt it.
Grey area for this video is making a third division for transgender people so biological female does not have any kind of disadvantages compared to biological male /transgender women. @@unknownweirdo077 hey thanks for your kind and thoughtful response. i really appreciate it. and although we probably don't necessarily agree on certain things politically or philosophically i can sense the humanity that you present. i suppose that mostly what i am getting at, to avoid specifics, is that there are people out there less compassionate than you or myself who may want to manipulate these sentiments to keep a certain group of people down. by diminishing the value of a certain group it becomes easier over generations to slip into a thought process that doesn't become ones own but that which is influenced by fear, misunderstanding or unwillingness to understand and greed, just to state a few. i dont doubt that some of the examples you presented may be true, however i hardly believe the reason people who reproduce and feel that mere access, let alone being criminalized, for a medically identified procedure that has so much nuance, is to use it frivolously. and even if that may be the case, to employ legislation making it illegal makes all our rights that much more delicate and up for debate by the governing body, who in my opinion, dont have our best interest in mind. for instance, i support and believe in the right to own firearms and i know that most people who have them dont commit violent acts of mass murder but of course the small percentage that do, trigger emotion and anger in those who may not understand the necessity of those tools. so essentially what im saying is that we learn to trust and respect each other in a way that recognizes our differences and similarities and that also allows for those differences to exist without jumping to knee jerk reactions that may or may not be just a regurgitation from an angry insecure person who has a large platform and following. peace and health to you.

I was talking to a girl recently who had a bunch of anxiety issues and a constant need for validation. I asked her if she had been validated a lot as a child or if she grew up doing things for herself. She said she had always been told she was amazing and special by everyone around her and now that she’s an adult she doesn’t hear those things anymore. This “everyone gets a trophy” attitude is quite literally ruining future generations.

The statement is true however, if winning didn't matter, then neither would any of those other things. It's the competition (either against yourself or others) that's the driving force in sports. You don't have to be the best but you do have to want to to some degree to get anything out of it.

    • @Undomaranel

Nah, some of us who were chosen not last and such saw it as a competition and not solely the victory. Or we were in it for the sheer fun of it and just happened to be good. It is true that not everything is about winning, it's more about the journey and process and where you wind up is a symptom.

You'll be singing a different tune when the NBA establishes new rules which require players to jump a rope being swung by two of their teammates while dribbling down the court. Yep... You'll be eating your own words when each basket will be counted as two points only after it is confirmed that the ball passed through a one-time-use net that was just knitted and hung by players who are sitting on the, "needle bench," and/or manning the game's tapestry-mounting ladders.

@@zedsterCH The point is not the trophy. The point is there is a winner and there is a loser. This teaches children about life. Because in life you lose more times than you win. And you need to learn how to be respectful when you do lose and to handle it right and how to handle when you win with Grace. This fits into many other aspects of life not just competitions.
