So glad you demoed the waffle flower swatch die. I love anything disc. Thanks for comparing the inks. I don't have many Concord and 9th and it is nice to see the comparisons.
Thank you for sharing this Rebecca, it certainly was a lot of work. I have not tried the C & 9th or the Stamp Market inks, but CPD inks are my favourite and my go to. They are Ah-maz-ing!! They blend so beautifully with the Picket Fence and Pink & Main brushes, and they layer beautifully as well. Thank you again, I hope you are staying safe and well, and warming up as you come into your summer. Cheers
Totally agree! I finally bought 4 CP full size inks and now I'll be trying to convert over all my colors to her inks! They smooth out like a dream and I don't have to double/triple/quadruple stamp to get a good impression.
I am very happy with this new formulation of dye inks! All three of these company's use the same new dye ink formulation, so any will perform that well, so you can definitely buy your favorite colors from any of them depending on whether your like brights, mid tones etc. We are definitely warming up here! The pool is warming up and the kids just had their last day of school! Yay Summer! I guess you all are cooling down now then? You stay safe as well!
Loving this new formulation of dye inks for sure! All three companies use the same basic formulation so it just depends on the color lines you like. :)
I know I should do these as I get new supplies, but for some reason it takes things getting a bit out of control around here before I get organized lol! Glad the idea was helpful!
I’m so glad you did this comparison. I’ve been trying to tell the difference in these colors and companies, so this was perfect. Thank you so much for sharing this!
Wow, so much work went into this video, thank you! I had to pause many times cause I needed more time to see the differences in each company's colors, but this was so helpful! I will be referring back to this video many times, I'm sure
Glad it was helpful! Pausing is key in this one lol! If I stayed too long on each comparison this video would've been hours long lol, but I know it's good to see the colors up close together. I think the great thing to know is hardly any of the colors are exact matches!
I'm fixin to swatch my inks. I think the blank ones are good for shopping too (shows what you don’t have). Or you could also use "what you need" to round out an order. Cause how many times have I bought extra stuff because I was panicked.
Great video, thank you. I do have the whole Catherine Pooler line, & they are by far my favorite. Although I do not have any from C&9 or SM. But it looks like they have beautiful colors.
I have a dymo letratag label maker but it doesn't have chain feature or copy feature. That is so awesome. Once I run out of label tape, I will get one of those like you have. Do I NEED them all? No. I do want them all. YES.
I just double checked and I brought the brother label maker back in 2015!!! And it has worked SO well for all this time! Love that thing. LOL, I know...I am right there with you! The dangerous part about Debbie sending me ALL of the CP swatches is now I see how many more colors I want. I MAY have just ordered a new ink pad organizer for my desk. 😬
Thank you for the comparison. There are two other companies that I know who have foam pads, The Stamps of Life and Stampin’Up. If I were starting over on ink pads, I would check out Catherine Pooler as she has such a wide range. Thanks so much!
I agree, CP has the greatest variety and the most amount of ink pads which gives you tons of options depending on whether you like brights, pastels, neutrals or all of the above!
Thanks so much Rebecca. Your swatch books on the discs are great. I use my CP inks most, but I was very curious about how the second release of Stamp Market inks compared to the colors I already have...and soon there will be even newer colors. I will have to watch your video multiple times and pause it to take a close look at each shade. Thanks for the time you took to put this together.
Thank YOU so much for all the CP swatches! I am flipping through trying to decide what I want to buy! To thank you, I will send you a swatch book of The Stamp Market inks that I have (I don't have the ones being released on June 5th) so you can see them up close! 💕
Thanks for this great video comparing ink colours, very helpful for me in deciding what I might want to purchase. I love The Stamp Market colours but to my knowledge this company’s products are not stocked in Australia.
So glad it was helpful! The Stamp Market is a small family owned business based in Utah, USA. I know that they ship internationally, but I am sure that it is expensive to ship to Australia.
This a super helpful video, thanks! Love the whole line of Waffle Flower swatch series... One tip I saw is to use just a regular hole punch in the middle of the swatch so you can put the swatch card over your project and see how it looks on your project, if that makes sense. I've found it extremely helpful.
Wow! You spent a lot of time doing this! I don’t have any of the three company’s inks but think they are beautiful. I love your p touch. I have a hand held battery powered one that I have used for years. I had mine out making labels for all my punches. Markers had worn off all the dimensions of all the circles, for example, And now they are organized and stay that way, I hope. Reds are really hard. Paper is the same way.
I am very impressed with this new formulation of dye ink! I have had that p touch since 2015! I use it all the time. Isn't that strange that red is such a tough color to achieve? Do you find that to be true in fabrics too?
I've been meaning to do this for so long! We all get so busy creating but I had added so many new ink pads recently and I wanted a way to keep track of the colors I had so I don't duplicate anything lol!
Thanks so much for watching! For a long time I wasn't really using colorful ink that much. But with this new formulation of dye inks I am really into colorful stamping again!
Hi Rebecca I bought a heap of one company’s distress inks. One day I went to use them they still had their lids on but they all bled out liquid was run every where. Luckily they were stored in a container in a dry cool place. So there was really no reason for them to do that !!! I was so upset so Ive bought bottled ink.
I really like this new formulation of dye inks that all three of these companies are using. I think it stamps crisply and evenly. In a few weeks I will add a video of other techniques you can do with them too. I would buy the colors I love from any of these three companies.
I have all the C&9 inks, including the newest ones. A lot of the Stamp inks look similar to me from what I saw in the video. Is there any colors that are pretty different that you would recommend looking into getting to fill in gaps of the C&9 inks?
I would say if you have the full set of C&9 you are pretty good to go lol! Buuuut if you are looking for something a bit different I would actually recommend a few of the Catherine Pooler Date Night Inks. Those are super bright. I don't think anyone makes a yellow as bright as their Limoncello or Chiffon. But if there is a color you gravitate towards like using lots of pink or lots of aqua maybe check out what one of the other companies offer to fill in spots and offer slightly different hues. But not necessary of course!
This comparison does not include PinkFresh or Altenew which are the typical formulation of dye inks with felt pads. Here I am comparing C&9, TSM and CP. Those three are all the new formulation of dye inks which sit on foam pads. These are currently my favorites because of all they can do and how easy it is to get a good impression. The differences between the three here really have to do with color preference. I do like the Pink Fresh and Altenew inks for their color/shades...i.e. that you can get a pack with three or four shades of one color. So all the brands you mention are great and it just depends if you want to try the new formulation of dye ink or prefer to have the packs with different shades of color with the traditional formulation of dye inks.
Another crafter mentioned pausing at different points in the video. But my main point is that hardly any of the colors are exact matches so if you see something you love, it is definitely worth grabbing!
So many! I think the thing is that if you like this new formulation, you will be happy with any of these three companies inks. You can grab a whole collection or you can mix and match between the three just buying the colors you love and know you will use!

I am definitely guilty of buying more than one of something because I am sure I don't have it yet lol! Definitely one reason swatching comes in handy!
Great video, thank you. I do have the whole Catherine Pooler line, & they are by far my favorite. Although I do not have any from C&9 or SM. But it looks like they have beautiful colors.

Ah this was great...I love the CP inks. I think I need to begin focusing on them. Just love all her colors!
I especially love her brights...I feel like she is the only one really doing those bright colors!
Yep, agree. I LOVE the saturation of her colors. So rich!

Red is always the hardest in material for sure. Loses dyes the quickest as well!
The C9 inks are in my ever growing wish list. Great video!
It's a great collection with some of my favorite colors and I love that they have coordinating cardstock colors!
Great video on color comparison between the 3 companies. How about comparing its use in ink blending, stamping, etc?

Oh no! If you took a photo of what happened I would definitely contact the company's customer service!
If you could only choose one type of colored ink, what would you choose? Right now I have the distress oxides and some of the altenew

Hey from Dallas, Rebecca.
Hi Debby!!
Great first look…i just need more screen time on the swatches to see them all. I couldn’t draw a complete conclusion from the video.
Another crafter mentioned pausing at different points in the video. But my main point is that hardly any of the colors are exact matches so if you see something you love, it is definitely worth grabbing!
Yay Debbie.
It looks like the Catherine Pooler inks stamp smoother.
